The coronavirus, now named COVID-19, has spread to over 100 countries and territories in Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America.
As of February 27th, the first coronavirus case in South America was confirmed.
BREAKING: As of March 14th, the US is banning travel from 26 European countries, including the UK and Ireland.
The UK and Ireland were not included in the initial ban, which went into effect midnight on Friday, March 13th. The UK and Ireland ban will go into effect on Monday, March 16th.

The CDC has now placed a level 3 travel alert on several countries in Europe as well as China, South Korea, and Iran.

China
80,000+ confirmed cases as of March 12th. The virus originated in Wuhan, likely at Huanan wholesale market.
3,000+ coronavirus related deaths have been reported in China.
The CDC has a Level 3 travel alert (avoid all nonessential travel) in place for China, and the US State Department has a Level 4 (do not travel) advisory in effect.
South Korea
8,000+ confirmed cases as of March 12th. Most cases have been traced to a single hospital in the county of Cheongdo.
The US State Department raised their travel advisory for South Korea from a 2 to a 3 (reconsider travel) on February 29th due to coronavirus.
The CDC has a Level 3 alert in effect for South Korea.
60+ deaths have been reported in South Korea.
Italy
15,000+ confirmed cases as of March 12th. Most cases are centered in the north of Italy. Italy has cancelled the Venice Carnival festivities and heavily restricted access to Milan Fashion Week events.
The State Department has now issued a Level 3 travel advisory (effective Febuary 29th) Italy. Previously a 2 advisory was in place due to terrorist threat, as well as coronavirus.
The CDC has raised their alert level to 3 for Italy. Travelers are advised to reconsider Italy travel plans.
There have now been 1,000+ deaths from coronavirus in Italy.
Iran
10,000+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has raised their Alert Level to 3 because of the coronavirus.
There is also a Level 4 travel advisory in effect for Iran due to an increased risk of arbirtary arrest and kidnapping of US citizens. Recently the US State Department added coronavirus as well.
400+ deaths have been confirmed in Iran.
Japan
The rate of cases appears to have slowed in Japan. Just over 1,000 total confirmed cases as of March 12th, (which includes 700+ cases aboard the Diamond Princess Cruise docked at Yokohama).
A Level 2 travel advisory from the US State Department remains in effect for Japan, due to coronavirus.
The CDC also warns travelers to practice enhanced precautions when visiting Japan. There is a Level 2 Alert in place.
The death count for Japan is 21.
France
2,000+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has raised their alert level for France to a Level 3. The US State Department has a Level 2 advisory in place due to terrorist threat.
There have been 50 coronavirus related deaths reported in France.
Germany
2,000+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Alert for Germany. There is a Level 2 travel advisory from the State Department due to terrorist threat.
There have been 3 coronavirus related deaths in Germany.
Spain
2,000+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The US State Department has a Level 2 travel advisory for Spain due to civil unrest and terrorist threat. The CDC has issued Level 3 Alert due to Coronavirus.
55 deaths from coronavirus has been reported in Spain.
United States
1,000+ confirmed cases as of March 12th. 36 of these cases were passengers on the Diamond Princess cruise.
The second coronavirus-related death in the United States was reported on March 1st, occuring in Seattle, Washington. So far 40 people with coronavirus have died in the US.
Singapore
150+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 2 Travel Alert for Singapore.
Hong Kong
100+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
There is a Level 2 travel advisory in place for Hong Kong due to coronavirus.
3 coronavirus related deaths have been reported in Hong Kong.
Switzerland
650+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Alert for Switzerland due to Coronavirus. The US State Department has listed a Level 1 Travel Advisory.
4 people with coronavirus have died in Switzerland.
United Kingdom
1,000+ confirmed cases as of March 14th. The initial cases reported were all in England, however as of February 28th, the first case in Wales was reported. As of March 4th, cases are reported in Northern Ireland and Scotland as well.
There is currently a Level 2 travel advisory in effect for the UK due to terrorist threat. The CDC has increased their advisory to Level 2.
There have been 8 coronavirus deaths in the UK.
Kuwait
80+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 2 Travel Alert for Kuwait.
Malaysia
150+ confirmed cases as of March 12th. 15 people have recovered and been discharged according to the Malaysia health ministry.
The CDC has issued a Level 2 Travel Alert.
Bahrain
195+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 2 Travel Alert for Bahrain.
Thailand
43 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There are currently no travel advisories in place for Thailand from either the CDC or US State Department.
1 death has been reported in Thailand.
Taiwan
42 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There are no elevated alerts in place for Taiwan from the CDC or the US State Department.
1 death has been reported in Taiwan.
Australia
128 confirmed cases as of March 12th, including some patients who had been passengers on the quarantined Diamond Princess Cruise.
The CDC has issued a Level 2 Travel Alert.
3 deaths hava been reported in Australia.
Netherlands
500+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
There is a US Level 2 advisory for the Netherlands due to terrorist threat. The CDC has issued a Level 3 Alert.
There have been 5 reported deaths.
Sweden
500+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Alert for Sweden.
1 death has been reported in Sweden.
Norway
600+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Alert for Norway. The US State Department lists a Level 1 Travel Advisory due to Coronavirus.
Iraq
32 confirmed case as of March 4th. There is a Level 4 travel advisory in effect for Iraq due to terrorism and armed conflict.
The CDC has not raised an alert for coronavirus in Iraq.
Canada
100+ confirmed cases as of March 12th in the provinces of Ontario, British Columbia, and Quebec most recently.
The CDC has issued a Level 2 Travel Alert for Canada.
There have been 2 Coronavirus related deaths reported.
India
28 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
US State Department Level 2 travel advisory is due to terrorist threat and civil unrest, particularly along the India / Pakistan border.
There are no travel alerts in place for India from the CDC.
UAE
27 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
The UAE was the first country in the Middle East to report coronavirus cases.
Neither the CDC or the State Department have travel advisories in place for the UAE.
Austria
300+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Alert for Austria.
There has been 1 Coronavirus related death reported.
Belgium
300+ confirmed case as of March 12th.
The current US Level 2 advisory is due to terrorist threat. The CDC has issued a Level 3 Alert due to Coronavirus.
There have been 3 reported deaths.
Iceland
85+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Travel Alert for Iceland.
Vietnam
16 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There are currently no travel advisories in place for traveling to Vietnam.
Israel
120+ confirmed cases as of March 12th. 2 cases had been passengers aboard the previously quarantined Diamond Princess Cruise.
The current US Level 2 advisory is due to terrorist threat.
The CDC has issued a Level 2 Travel Alert for Israel due to Coronavirus.
San Marino
15 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There is a US State Department Level 3 Travel Advisory for Italy due to Covid-19 coronavirus.
The CDC has not put out alerts for San Marino.
1 coronavirus related death has been reported.
Lebanon
13 confirmed case as of March 4th.
There is a Level 3 advisory in effect for Lebanon due to terrorism and armed conflict.
The CDC has not raised an alert for coronavirus in Lebanon.
Oman
12 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There are no travel alerts in place for Oman from the State Department or the CDC.
Denmark
600+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Alert due to Coronavirus. The US State Department has a level 2 advisory in place for Denmark due to terrorist threat.
Croatia
10 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There are no travel alerts in place for Croatia from the State Department or the CDC.
Macau
10 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There is a level 2 advisory from the State Department for Macau due to coronavirus.
Greece
100+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Travel Alert for Greece.
There has been 1 death reported.
Qatar
260+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 2 Travel Alert for Qatar due to Coronavirus.
Ecuador
7 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
The CDC has not put an alert in place for Ecuador. The US State department has a Level 2 advisory in effect for travel to Ecuador due to crime and civil unrest.
Belarus
6 confirmed case as of March 4th.
There are no travel advisories or alerts in place for Belarus.
Finland
6 confirmed case as of March 4th.
There are no travel alerts in place for Finland from the State Department or the CDC.
Czech Republic
90+ confirmed cases as of March 12th.
The CDC has issued a Level 3 Travel Alert.
Algeria
5 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There is a level 2 travel advisory in place for Algeria due to terrorism.
The CDC has not raised their alert level for Algeria.
Mexico
5 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
The US State Department has a level 2 advisory in place for Mexico due to crime and kidnapping.
There is no coronavirus travel alert for Mexico from the CDC, however travelers should note a Dengue outbreak has occured.
Pakistan
5 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There is a level 1 alert from the CDC for Pakistan. Coronavirus is not a threat however travelers should note an outbreak of Dengue and Typhoid fever in Pakistan.
The US State Department has a Level 3 advisory in place for Pakistan due to terrorism.
Romania
4 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There are no travel alerts or advisories in effect for Romania.
Philippines
3 confirmed cases as of March 4th. The US Level 2 advisory is due to civil unrest, crime, and terrorism.
No travel alerts for the Philippines from the CDC.
1 coronavirus related death has been reported in the Philippines.
Azerbaijan
3 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
No travel alerts from the CDC, however there is a Level 2 advisory from the State Department due to terrorism risks.
Georgia
3 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There are no travel alerts or advisories in effect for Georgia.
Russia
3 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
The US Level 2 advisory is due to terrorist threat, harassment, and civil unrest.
The CDC has not put any alerts in place for Russia.
Egypt
2 confimred case as of March 4th.
The current US Level 2 advisory is due to terrorist threat.
There is no alert from the CDC for Egypt.
Brazil
2 confirmed cases as of March 4th. Brazil was the first country to reported cases in Latin America.
The current US Level 2 advisory is due to crime, and the CDC has not raised a coronavirus travel alert for Brazil.
Indonesia
2 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There is a level 2 alert in place from the CDC due to polio outbreaks in Asia. Coronavirus is not listed as a threat for travelers in Indonesia.
The Level 2 advisory from the State Department is due to terrorism and natural distaters.
Portugal
2 confirmed cases as of March 4th.
There are no travel alerts or advisories in effect for Portugal.
Sri Lanka
1 confirmed case as of March 4th, reported in January.
The US Level 2 advisory is due to terrorist threat.
The CDC has not put any alerts in place for Sri Lanka.
Cambodia
1 confirmed case as of March 4th, reported in January.
There are no travel advisories or alerts in place for Cambodia.
Nepal
