Style Style Small Group Tour Small groups are usually defined as between 10 and 24 travelers, often less. If you're the kind of person who enjoys more intimate experiences and personal service this is a good choice. All else being equal you will pay a premium for this style vs a larger group tour.
Private Guided Private tours give you the undivided attention of a guide, and often involve special access to sites and unique experiences not available to larger groups. This is a great option for families, couples, and small friend groups. Expect to pay a bit more for the extra service.
Self Guided Tour A travel company plans your itinerary and arranges all the logistics including lodging, local activities, and transportantion. You have the flexibility of a solo trip while still getting the convience and time savings of expert planning. Get 90% of the benefits of a tour, without a guide.
Group Tour Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.
River Cruise These vessels are smaller than most ocean cruisers, limiting which amenties are available. Passenger counts can vary. One of the biggest advantages of a river cruise is the ability to dock at smaller ports and local villages.
Small Ship Cruise Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.
Large Ship Cruise This is the "floating city" experience, with multiple ways to enjoy your vacation aboard the ship as much as on land. Ships are multiple floors, provide several activities, culinary, and shopping options. They often make fewer stops and have less time available for shore excursions.
Retreats Similar to a self guided tour but staying in one location only with activities and day outings included as a part of the stay.

Duy, the tour leader was attentive, informative and the food we were given was fantastic.
So much so, that we will organise another night street food tour in Hoi An when we arrive there.

a totally wonderful tour with Tereza who was passionate about Prague s history and her knowledge in general was expansive and was relayed to us with character which made the whole day so enjoyable highly recommended. Prague itself is stunning but to have the added bonus of a place to eat where the locals go and knowledge about this incredible city was very much a bonus.
My wife & I came away thoroughly invigorated after our tour .. really good !

I did the Cuba tour. We had such a wonderful time. Our tour guide (Andy ) and our driver (Raoul) were the best. Everyone on our tour had a great time. We became a little family of our own. This trip was a very memorable one. I wish Andy and Raoul all the best and keep on doing what your doing because you both were great.

Cuba Essentials is a small taste of what Cuba has to offer. For the time poor this is an excellent trip to tick off Cuba on your list of destinations with just a taste of some of the great things Cuba has to offer. I would also recommend this trip as an intro before tackling Cuba in other ways. There is a taste of many things and it leaves you with an appetite for more!

My trip to Cuba with Peregrine was amazing. It was a great way to be part of the Cuban life. I particularly loved going to Vinales the tobacco growing area of Cuba .. the countryside was breathtaking & the Cuban people so lovely. One of my favorite places to eat was the Eco-farm in Vinales great food & a wonderful drink with Rum of course. An amazing trip where I was well looked after by Karell our tour guide who had great knowledge on everything Cuban & Rey our driver who got us to places safely. Thank you Peregrine for a great trip of Cuba. Audrey Hunt Australia

A wonderful couple of weeks focusing principally on the wildlife of Costa
Rica. We went at the start of the rainy season and were lucky with the
weather, but don't think you'll be suthbathing (much) as Exodus keep you
moving!
My thirteen year old son told me that the Pacific coast beach we visited was
the most beautiful place he'd ever seen.

Excellent, excellent, excellent.

Gio has an exceptionally calm, professional and efficient manner. He's also
incredibly knowledgeable and endlessly enthusiastic about his country. On top
of that, he understands the importance of group dynamics and ensured that we
formed a happy group.

I really don't think we could have asked for a more thoughtful, organised and
all-round nice guy to lead our holiday!

Two things -
1. If you're travelling in the rainy season, ignore the advice to travel
light as you cannot dry clothes (everything is constantly damp)
2. Ignore Exodus's terrible and costly advice to take dollars. You need
enough dollars to get you to a cash machine, then withdraw local Colones and
use them everywhere - otherwise you will be ripped off by terrible dollar
exchange rates offered in shops and restaurants.
