Style
Small Group Tour Small groups are usually defined as between 10 and 24 travelers, often less. If you're the kind of person who enjoys more intimate experiences and personal service this is a good choice. All else being equal you will pay a premium for this style vs a larger group tour.
Private Guided Private tours give you the undivided attention of a guide, and often involve special access to sites and unique experiences not available to larger groups. This is a great option for families, couples, and small friend groups. Expect to pay a bit more for the extra service.
Self Guided Tour A travel company plans your itinerary and arranges all the logistics including lodging, local activities, and transportantion. You have the flexibility of a solo trip while still getting the convience and time savings of expert planning. Get 90% of the benefits of a tour, without a guide.
Group Tour Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.
River Cruise These vessels are smaller than most ocean cruisers, limiting which amenties are available. Passenger counts can vary. One of the biggest advantages of a river cruise is the ability to dock at smaller ports and local villages.
Small Ship Cruise Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.
Large Ship Cruise This is the "floating city" experience, with multiple ways to enjoy your vacation aboard the ship as much as on land. Ships are multiple floors, provide several activities, culinary, and shopping options. They often make fewer stops and have less time available for shore excursions.
Retreats Similar to a self guided tour but staying in one location only with activities and day outings included as a part of the stay.

- Arrive in Rio de Janeiro and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Day 2 – Rio de Janeiro – City Tour / Corcovado
- Your morning tour features a ride by cable car to the summit of Sugar Loaf Mountain. Take in spectacular views of the city from Corcovado to Guanabara Bay and Niteroi Bridge. Later, drive along the Leblon and famous Ipanema beaches before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, visit Corcovado, upon which stands the statue of Christ the Redeemer. En route, see Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the traditional Cosme Velho neighborhood. Take a cogwheel train to the famous statue and enjoy the stunning vista before descending. (BL) Day 3 – Rio de Janeiro
- The mountain retreat of Petropolis has been called the Imperial City since the times of Emperor Pedro II. Visit the Imperial Museum, which was the summer residence of Emperor D. Pedro II, and is where all of his treasures are displayed. Continue to the Gothic Cathedral where Princess Isabel was buried. Also view the tombstones of D. Pedro II and his wife. From there, you will see the Crystal Palace, which was built in France and moved to Brazil, where it was destined to shelter exhibitions and great parties promoted by Princess Isabel. (B) Day 4 – Rio de Janeiro
- Enjoy a full day at leisure to relax and pursue independent activities. (B) Day 5 – Rio de Janeiro / Iguassu Falls
- Fly to Iguassu. Transfer to your hotel. Later, take a walking tour with a local guide along the Brazilian side of the amazing waterfalls, one of the natural wonders of the world. (BD)
- Travel by coach to the Argentine side of the falls. Continue on to Iguassu National Park to enjoy a guided walking tour of this natural wonderland. The afternoon is free. Tonight, enjoy a barbecue dinner and Latin show at the Rafain Hotel. (BD) Day 7 – Iguassu Falls / Sao Paulo/ Depart Sao Paulo
- Depart by flight to São Paulo. Arrive and connect with your flight to onward destination. (B)
- Arrive Salvador and transfer to your city hotel or to Guarajuba (1 hour drive from Salvador). (B) Day 8 – Salvador

- Visit the civic center, La Moneda Palace and the Pre-Columbian Museum, home to a large collection of ancient artifacts. - Cusco is a great city to explore on foot. Enter a bygone era as you explore the ancient Incan ruins dotted all over the city
- A trip through Peru wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Enjoy a guided tour around the ruins as well as plenty of free time to discover it on your own
- Spend a full day exploring the floating islands of Lake Titicaca and Taquile Island, with the chance to meet the local Uru people
Surprising Salta, Jujuy & Iguazu Falls (deluxe)
- Day 1 – Buenos Aires
- Arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we make a panoramic tour of the city. We start in Plaza de Mayo, scenery of the most important events of the country from 1810, to then continue to the neighbourhood of La Boca and finish in Palermo and Recoleta. In the evening, we attend a dinner show where we take a tango lesson, learn the basic steps of this rhythm, and then enjoy the magnetism of tango. (D) Day 2 – Buenos Aires / Salta
- Fly to Salta this morning. In the afternoon, the city awaits us to explore Salta by a walk through its streets, churches, colonial buildings and the Museum of High Mountain Archaeology (MAAM), in charge of sharing and conserving the “Niñosdel Llullaillaco”, one of the most important archeological discovers in the last decades. (B)Max. altitude: 1.152 MASL (3.779 ft.)(Note: The Town Hall and the MAAM close on Mondays. San Miguel Market closes on Sundays) Day 3 – Salta / Cachi / Cafayate
- Departure from Salta to start our trip through Calchaquíes Valleys. During the trip, we stop at Del Obispo Slope, Recta de Tin Tin and Los Cardones National Park. Arrival at Cachi and enjoy free time for lunch (not included) and walk around the town. We continue towards Cafayate through National Route 40, passing by enchanting towns such as Seclantas, Angastaco and Molinos, apart from amazing De Las Flechas Gorge. - In the morning, we go on a tour of the town. Later this afternoon, depart for Salta visiting De Las Conchas Gorge, characterized by its curious formations, such as the Amphitheatre and the Devil´s Throat, both a consequence of wind and water erosion. Arrival in Salta and accommodation.(B)Travelled distance: 198 km. (123 miles)Travel time: 7 hoursMax. Altitude: 1.660 MASL (5.446 ft.) Day 5 – Salta / Purmamarca
- Early departure travelling along Del Toro Gorge to reach the town of San Antonio de los Cobres and discover part of the route that the Train of the Clouds used to do. After lunch (not included), we continue along the Puna to reach Salinas Grandes Salt Flat, the third largest in the world. Then, we descend along De Lipan Slope to Purmamarca, where the well-known Cerro de los Siete Colores (Seven Colours Hill) is located. (B)(Note: The Vine and Wine Museum closes on Mondays) Day 6 – Purmamarca / Salta
- Today we explore Humahuaca Gorge, a Humanity Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, visiting typical and colorful villages such as Tilcara with its Pucara, Uquía and Humahuaca. On the way back, we stop at Maimará, to admire Paleta Del Pintor (the Painter’s Palette). Return to Salta. (B)Travelled distance: 319 km (198 miles)Travel time: 10-11 hoursMax. Altitude: 3.000 MASL (9.843 ft.) Day 7 – Salta / Puerto Iguazú
- Morning at leisure. At due time transfer to the airport to embark towards Puerto Iguazu. Arrival and accommodation.(B) Day 8 – Puerto Iguazú
- In the morning, we visit Iguazú National Park, Argentinian part of the falls, which has been declared Natural Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. During the tour, we go through the three circuits of the park: Garganta Del Diablo (to reach the balcony and viewpoint of the most imposing waterfall of the park), The Upper (that provides a vertical view) and The Lower (that offers a closer contact with the vegetation and the falls). During the tour, time for lunch (included) and optional chance to take The Great Adventure, an excursion that combines a boat ride at the foot of some waterfalls and a crossing through the jungle. In the afternoon, return to the hotel.(BL) Day 9 – Puerto Iguazú / Buenos Aires
- We leave Puerto Iguazú to get Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil and visit the waterfalls in the Brazilian side. We enter the park and walk along the only path that leads to the viewpoint of Gargantadel Diablo. While we walk, we are able to appreciate a panoramic view of almost all the falls. Return to Puerto Iguazú to board the flight to Buenos Aires. (B) Day 10 – Buenos Aires
- Time at leisure. If your flight allows it, we suggest you take “Fiesta Gaucha” (Gaucho Party) tour, to taste the traditional Argentinian barbecue: “asado”. At due time, transfer to the airport to board the scheduled flight. (B)
