I was having a great trip until such a negative interaction with my lash Tour Guide. It makes me wonder if I want to travel on Grovers again. I also had some issues with my flights, but I got over that. I got along with George great but as sometimes happens, I was late for the pick up from the cruise. He was not only rude but he did not speak to me even though he took a very generous €40 tip and then later I found out that he talks bad about me with the other members of my group, he told him that because of me he lost his next tour. I think that dropping one Tour off at eight and picking another one at nine is a little too ambitious and I am glad that I did this experience at the beginning of the season I couldn’t imagine how bad it would be at the end of the season .

although it is not the fault of EF Tours, the checked bags did not make the connecting flight. The group received their luggage the next day, however, my child received the wrong bag. The entire trip she was promised that she would receive her bag, the tour guide informed her that they had it and they would overnight. She spent 8 days without her luggage and it returned home before her. Very disappointed in the empty promises. Also, she mentioned that the free time between tours was too long without anywhere to go or to do.

We traveled on the Paris to the Pyrenees itinerary last week and it was absolutely fabulous. Our tour guide Gil kept everything running smoothly and provided great commentary as we made our way through the most beautiful countryside.

CIAO! Sono Clara, ho diciassette anni e sto trascorrendo il mio anno all’estero in Texas.

Conosco la mia famiglia ospitante da quasi sei anni. Nel 2017/2018 mia sorella Anita ha trascorso il suo anno all’estero qui in Texas con EF e da quel momento tutto è andato nel migliore dei modi.

Mia sorella ed io amiamo viaggiare, siamo molto curiose e vogliamo sempre avere un nuovo obiettivo da raggiungere, ed EF ha trovato la famiglia ospitante perfetta per noi. I loro nomi sono Mia ed Henry e non hanno figli.

Sia io che Anita ci sentiamo a casa quando siamo con loro.

Anche se non era ancora il momento di partire, ero con mia sorella quando abbiamo ricevuto la mail che diceva che EF aveva trovato la famiglia! Sei anni fa non sapevo che sarei stata con loro in futuro, ma quando Anita ha visto quanto fossero perfetti per noi, abbiamo deciso che anch'io avrei passato l'anno in Texas.


Uno dei momenti più divertenti che ho vissuto con EF sono stati i Welcome Days (3 giorni a New York che ti preparano all'esperienza in modo divertente). In quei giorni ho conosciuto altri studenti con i quali ancora parlo e condivido esperienze.

Ho amato incontrare gli exchange students che erano appena tornati dal loro anno di scambio e vedere tutte le avventure che hanno vissuto. Mi hanno fatto venire voglia di iniziare e scoprire ancora di più cosa sarebbe successo durante il mio anno.


Dopo quei tre giorni, ho soggiornato presso una famiglia che non conoscevo per una settimana intera perché la mia attuale famiglia ospitante, purtroppo, aveva il Covid.

Ho deciso di fidarmi di EF quando mi hanno detto che avrei dovuto passare del tempo con persone che non conoscevo, ma nessun'altra scelta è mai stata migliore.

Quella famiglia mi ha accolto a braccia aperte e mi ha subito aiutato e amato.

Ora parlo con loro quasi tutti i giorni e passo molto tempo con i figli.


Un'altra cosa è che so di poter contare sul mio IEC nel caso avessi bisogno di qualcosa. Infatti, l'IEC rimane in contatto e controlla ogni mese che tutto vada bene, ma se ho bisogno di qualcosa so che posso contare su di loro in qualsiasi momento.


Per fortuna qui ho conosciuto tante nuove persone che ora sono miei amici. Grazie a loro e alla mia famiglia ospitante riesco ad avere sempre cose da fare e vivere nuove esperienze.

La mia famiglia, come ho detto prima, ama viaggiare. Infatti siamo stati in tanti posti diversi come Florida, California, Nevada...prossimo viaggio: Hawaii!

Ovviamente non tutte le famiglie hanno la possibilità di viaggiare così tanto, ma sono sicura che ogni famiglia cerca di divertirsi a modo loro.


Oltre a viaggiare, ho imparato ad amare lo "stare da sola". A volte stare da soli può sembrare ovvio e/o noioso, ma sto imparando ad apprezzare il fatto di avere tempo per me stessa.

Dopo una lunga giornata parlando solo inglese, spesso c'è bisogno di rilassare il cervello e il corpo. Ho imparato che il tempo passa molto più velocemente di quanto pensiamo e che non si sa mai quanto si può imparare finché non si prova.

Non tutti i giorni saranno al meglio, ma ogni giorno è diverso, e più vado avanti, più mi rendo conto di quanto mi manchi già lo scorso luglio.

Ad ogni modo, amo vivere la mia vita ogni giorno e non avere rimpianti, ecco perché sono grata alla mia famiglia ed a EF per avermi fatto vivere una cosa così bella e grande.
