Incredible experience sailing on the Grand European tour from Amsterdam to Budapest! Just wonderful! The tours were interesting, and most allowed for adequate free time to explore the areas visited. But the staff! Beyond compare.

We talked about doing a cruise with Viking ever since we were made aware of them back in 2008. We just arrived home yesterday and are still floating on air! The spectacular time we had is almost beyond description. First, we loved our stateroom. It was the basic 150 square foot space. This room was so well designed. We met new friends and always had someone new to share a conversation with. The gem in the hospitality crown was our Program Director, who had more energy than any five people put together. I could go on and on but I will say this: we are already planning our next cruise with Viking.

We enjoyed the entire experience; Normandy and Omaha Beach were especially moving. The food and service deserve praise too. This is our third Viking cruise and we'll do it again. Viking does it first rate all the way. Keep it up.

Travelling through Vietnam with Intrepid Travel was an amazing experience. Contrary to travelling in a really big group or coach tour, the group size was small enough so that we could really get in amongst it with the local people in villages. And if we didn't have our leader there (who was a local and spoke the language) we wouldn't have met as many people or had as many of the experiences that made this such a wonderful trip. There were moments when we were in places or situations – like taking shelter from a storm in a local shopkeeper's closed store, drinking beers with him – that I remember thinking there would be NO WAY I would have been there without the group and the leader. The group leader really opened up an honest, authentic side to Vietnam to me. It's definitely how I choose to discover the world as a traveller now!

I took Intrepid's Vietnam Express trip in June of 2013 and it was one of my best travel experiences ever. Besides the amazing food we enjoyed every step of the way, there are so many highlights I can't list them all! We started off with a long tail boat trip out on the Mekong delta where we had a home cooked lunch prepared for us by a local family. We then traveled north to the world heritage city of Hoi An where we had an amazing cooking class. The highlight came at the end of the trip when we spent the night on a private junk boat in beautiful Halong bay. I can't say enough about our amazing leader as he really made the experience memorable. I was so impressed with my Intrepid experience in Vietnam and can't wait to go back!

I have always been one to mix independent travel with group travel. I usually choose Intrepid if I am traveling to a country that’s a bit chaotic (think India) or somewhere independent travel may be a bit difficult. I recently did the South Morocco Discovery and was blown away by how much we saw. One day we were deep in the Sahara (just 14km away from the Algerian border) and then a couple of days later on the coast in Essaouria. There is no way I would have been able to organise transport and local guides to see so much myself. Our leader Isaam was amazing and has so much knowledge & passion for his country. I will definitely be back to Morocco to explore the north.

Our trip to Morocco was a trip of a lifetime. I am so proud to be able to say that I camped in the Sahara Desert under the most brilliant cluster of stars during a cool November night. I can say that I slept in a guest house and hiked in the High Atlas Mountains. That I got to sleep in a riyad, watch women make argan oil and witness goats climbing trees! Joining my group on the South Morocco Discovery was eye opening. Our tour guide, Issam, was awesome - so knowledgeable on the current political and cultural climate as well as the history of the peoples of Morocco. He made sure we were well taken care of (a few of us got carsick during overland journeys) and made sure we had a lot of fun, too!

3 days Athens. 7 days cruising among the Greek Islands on a yacht. 15 staterooms. Pure heaven. Don't know if this tour is still available from Perillo, haven't seen any info since my trip, we were first timers.
