Travel was all around Spain and Portugal, lots of history all over.

Overall, a very pleasant experience. Things were a bit confusing as a first time traveler with Luxury Gold -- a frustration independently shared by the other couple we invited tp join us. Most of the confusion involved the transfer vouchers and adding additional hotel nights pre and post trip.

Optional tour, Ghilly was meh! (The Chicken could have been used for a Hockey Puck!)

Good itinerary and timing

Hockey experience was hokey.

It was a very physical, busy itinerary. I enjoyed it but felt that it was too much for some of the people. Could the activity level be rated to moderate to high ?

A couple of the hotels with stayed at I didn't think were 4 stars. They were okay but not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. I believe that Trafalgar advertises all the hotels they choose are 4 star or higher.

A few weeks later our trip was less expensive …. Wish we knew to save over $1,000.
With me using a cane due to needing knee replace… wish tour guide would tell me places we were headed so I could go there ahead of pp and not be lost in the back.

The majority of the hotels were fine, however how about picking a hotel closest to the “hot spots”? If you opt to do dinner on your own, some hotels are out in the middle of nowhere.

The Mercedes buses are excellent; very comfortable. We did get a flat tire on our last trip but that will happen from time to time.

The itinerary could use some work. This 14-day trip seemed padded with a few not so interesting destinations – could have been tightened up. Also, I felt we get “dumped” on our own for a couple hours as “free time” in the worst places, while the exciting places we get a scant 45 minutes.

All guides were well informed, kept things on time, and were friendly, personable and good English speakers.

Well organized, comfortable hotels, great itinerary. We have seen a lot in our 12 days. Tour director - Stephane and driver - Solo entertained us, were professional and respectful

There were a lot of stops, but we saw and experienced a lot so there is a tradeoff. We do all the optionals so thot was our choice. You can do less optionals and have more free time, but we like to make the most of our time there.

This itinerary was fabulous. It included more than I had anticipated with some really special experiences.
