We have just returned from our 15 day Grand Tour of Italy. The experience was amazing. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to gain a considerable amount of information and knowledge of Italy. Our tour director Carla was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Italy as well as the surrounding countries such as France and Switzerland. Combined with the local guides we learned so much about all of the cities and towns we visited. The accommodation for the most part were above average and in Florence the Montebello Splendid was a 5 star experience. The hotel for Venice was located on Lido Island which was a good location the hotel was the Hotel Quattro Fontane it was very dated and could use some remodeling. All of the sites we visited exceeded expectations We would recommend that when visiting Assisi people take time to also visit the Basilica di Santa Maria Degli Angleli. It is a 20 minute local bus ride from Assisi and is well worth a 1 or 2 hour visit. Perhaps Goahead would consider stopping when in route to Assisi. We participated in most of the added excursion except for the Isle of Capri and Umbria. Utilized our time in those locations to visit the Amalfi coast and spend extra time in Assisi. Would recommend Goahead tours for anyone looking to truly experience Italy.

Steel is an absolutely marvelous tour guide! Everything ran so smooth and we visited so many sights it was amazing! All of our local guides and drivers were fabulous!

The tour of the Greek Islands was spectacular from start to finish. Our tour director Alexandra treated each and every one of us like family and made our trip extra special. I recommend this trip to everyone, it's a must to add to your list!!!

I had such a wonderful time, the best food, the wine and the best group of travelers ever. Great tour director! Capri and Florence are two of the must see cities in Italy. What an amazing artist and sculpture was Michael Angelo! When you look at the anatomy of David, its like looking at a human specimen.

I had a wonderful experience touring Venice, Florence, Rome with Sorrento extension. Stefania Bodi, our tour director, was a gem. From our pickup at the airport to our daily cultural tidbits to restaurant recommendations to helping us make free-day plans, Stefania could not have taken better care of us all. The itinerary was fabulous, a perfect mix of historical sites and free time. I’ve already recommended Go Ahead Tours to friends.

I personally did not need to spend as much time in Athens. More time in Crete or another island would have been appreciated by me. Our guide was fantastic. He went above and beyond in many ways.

This was my first time on a tour and had no expectations. The grand tour of Italy was a great value for all that was included. The tour was wonderfully orchestrated and scheduled flawlessly. Our tour director, Monique, was exceptional as well as our bus driver, Mossimo. We visited many cities and took advantage of all the excursions but always had some down time and never felt rushed. Our group was awesome and we will definitely tour with go ahead again.

This was my first organized tour and I didn’t know what to expect. From the moment I paid my deposit until the end, the experience was organized, punctual, and efficient. Every aspect of the trip far exceeded my expectations. Our tour director, Juergen, was phenomenal. He met us at the airport and kept us well informed during the entire trip. Communication was excellent. The places and things we saw and did were worth every penny. Juergen played music from each country during our bus rides, bought us treats from each country, and shared a wealth of information about each country. The hotels were in great locations. Our bus driver also did an incredible job driving us safely from place to place. I highly recommend Go Ahead Tours and am already planning my next trip.
