We booked our trip of a lifetime through Carolyn Bell at Goway Travel in Toronto. We would definitely recommend Goway and Carolyn in particular. We had been wanting to do this trip for many years so had researched the destination and knew the experience we wanted. I explained this vision to Carolyn. With this information she planned a wonderful trip for us which was just as we had dreamed. We stayed at the Intercontinental in Tahiti for 2 nights to get acclimatized. The hotel was a lovely surprise. Not your typical 'close to the airport' hotel. We had a terrific view of Moorea even from our lower priced category. We took a informative tour of the island which was arranged by Goway. Throughout our itinerary we were met on time by friendly representatives. We took the ferry to Moorea and again were met and taken to the Intercontinental Moorea where we had booked a beach bungalow for 5 nights. It was the perfect accommodation for this hotel and the location was exactly what we wanted. It had a beautiful covered porch and we could walk down and step right into the water. I enjoyed the dolphins at this resort as well.
Then it was off to the Pearl Beach Hotel in Bora Bora in an overwater bungalow for a week. Again this was the perfect choice for us. We had explained what was most important to us was the view. We had a awesome view across the various shades of turquoise water to Mt Otemanu on the large island. The overwater bungalow was great with an outdoor deck. We could climb down the ladder directly into the water which we did several times a day. The water is so warm and we saw many beautiful fish.
The Polynesian people are just lovely. They are so friendly and really want to make you happy. The service was the best we have ever received in all of our travels.
This trip to French Polynesia was everything we had dreamed.

Only problem was the airport pickup in Sydney when we arrived. We waited 1 hour to be greeted and 1 hour for another couple (that was on the same plane as us) who never showed up. The greeter was also not very nice.

All reservations were made in the name of the person I was travelling with who never communicated with Goway. Made arrivals difficult because we never knew what name was on the reservation. All in all we could have made all the plans ourselves, and next time we will.

Went from Sydney to Hamilton Island to Melbourne to Uluru and back, all in 2 weeks. Stayed at the Menzies Hotel in Sydney, nice and good location. Take the train not taxi (as we were advised) from airport as it is just across the street and cheaper. Try to find smaller tours or do hop-on-hop-off vs the big bus AATKings to tour Sydney. The harbor tour and zoo were great. Go to the Blue Mountains Nat'l Park instead of the tourist trap there unless you just want to ride a gondola. Hamilton Island was great - go to Reef World with Cruise Whitsundays or take a float plane to the Great Barrier Reef. Take a plane ride over the reef either way. Spend at least 2 days in Melbourne, and the Travelodge was fine, just skip their breakfast and head out to a cafe. Go on the Phillip Island Penguin tour and do the ranger tour - it was great. At Uluru (Ayers Rock) take the smaller tours vs the big bus AATKings tours, although these were better than those in Sydney! Go on the Sounds of Silence Dinner - was well worth it! Hotels at Uluru are nice, just don't expect Park Avenue style 4stars, and they are the only options at Ayers Rock. (Alice Springs is next closest 6hours away.) Jessica was very helpful and all reservations were confirmed - only needed to tell hotels. tours, and airlines my name and all worked smoothly!

With the help of Peter at Goway we custom built a tour of Australia and Thailand. We changed our minds several times during the process and Peter was flexible, and innovative, and came up with ideas that fit our objectives. The trip was 42 days with 15 flights, and dozens of transfers and excursions. It all went perfectly. Many thanks, Peter.

Excursions were all good. We preferred small groups/coaches over the large groups/coaches. Excursions we particularly enjoyed in New Zealand were the Best of Both Worlds in Auckland, Rotorua Journey of Ages at Rotorua and Millford Sound. In Australia, Sydney Opera House tour, Kings Canyon Hike, snorkeling the Great Barrier Reef and the Train Sky Rail ride over the rain forest in Cairns.
Accommodations that we found outstanding were Scenic Hotel Franz Josef, Adina Apartment Hotel in Sydney, Daltons Resort Halls Gap, Carolyn's Cottage Naracoorte and Meridian Port Douglas. The Colonial Club Resort in Cairns was unacceptable and the Chestnut Hill Country Retreat at Swan Reach was closed when we arrived.
The self drive worked well with one exception in New Zealand where the travel was too far from our next destination.

It was so easy and everything went smoothly. Our guide James in Santiago was very interesting and took us to places that we wanted to see plus what was on the itinerary The drivers were excellent. The only hiccup was in Puerto Varas when we were unable to go to Chilioe Island due to a road closure (bush fires) and a traffic accident delaying our ferry trip. We would have liked to have gone to the Island early the next morning but didn't know who to contact in Puerto Varas to arrange the change. Easter Island was perfect. Again our guide Maitu was excellent and assessed some of our mobility issues and arranged the sites accordingly. We didn't miss out on anything. Excellent hotels, excellent food. Best flight connections ever!

Goway responded very promptly to provide flight bookings for a trip to Australia and New Zealand that were cheaper than I could access on line and steered me to the bonus of premium economy seating. The latter is hugely worthwhile for the cost, as the extra recline makes sleeping much easier on the long haul flight.

Nicole at Goway did a great job with setting up our trip and was very helpful with organizing our self tour portion in Australia. The Great Barrier Reef is amazing and sleeping out on the Whitsunday Blue catamaran in the Whitsunday Islands is an unforgettable experience. Aaron and Charlotte took excellent care of us. We had excellent weather and ship mates too. The 15 day tour of both the north and south islands of New Zealand was bit short for the amount of distance covered, but we got to see a lot it was beautiful. Our tour director Jan was excellent, and our driver Mark took very good care of us. Really made the trip. Overall we had a great trip.

Our GOWAY agent put together a 6 week trip to South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia at very short notice, encompassing all that I wanted to see and visit. The tour arrangements all took place perfectly, our drivers and guides were always on time and were always most professional, courteous, informative but also friendly and cheerful. The accommodation and the food was always to our standards if not more so. I would not hesitate to recommend GOWAY to other travellers.

In early autumn we decided to go to Australia for a month. We checked with other travel companies but Goway Travel was more accommodating to our needs. They helped us rent a small motorhome from Mighty Australia. We asked for a Mighty Deuce but were given a Maui. That turned out to be a good deal for us! We have had a motorhome in the past so driving the Maui was no problem, just had to remember which side of the road to drive on! The fuel economy (diesel) was great! Going in February meant that we were not in tourist season so got some good deals on campgrounds. Wifi is not reliable in most campsites, Info centers were better. We had one issue with our tour to Kangaroo Island- we were booked in for the wrong month! Good idea to reconfirm all of your tours in case of a glitch! Goway and the tour company quickly fixed the problem and we had an awesome tour of Kangaroo Island. Would recommend this tour to everyone!

Our service with Peter was excellent. Questions were quickly answered and he was very helpful with all our concerns. We enjoyed our excursions especially our trip to Halong Bay. The food was good and the dishes plentiful (perhaps a bit too plentiful!). We were able to try many different foods from the area which we would not have known to order off a menu.
Our guides and drivers were also very helpful. We stayed at the Meracus2 Hotel by the lake. The room was large with a balcony great for the 3 of us. The service was excellent and breakfast was the best!!

This was the first fully guided tour I've ever been on and it surpassed my expectations. No time was wasted planning, reserving, finding or researching eating places, or menu's. The tour captured the essence of the past. I saw the great works of the Sultans and the Romans and got some history. The tour also included guided walks through the old streets (some less than 1 meter which were used by donkeys and scooters) and introduction to some of the specialty works (tanning, leatherworks, pottery, metalworks, ..). Had a wonderful time.
We went in the 1st week of March with 7 other strangers and everything was perfect. Weather was great, food was outstanding, and not one person was ill.
