Fortunately, our tour was lead by separate Spanish and English guides, (apparently this depends on the time of year). This divided the large group on the bus almost equally, shrinking the size.
Julie uses a RF Transmitter mic for the guide and very unobtrusive earpieces for the guests. This made it so I could always hear our guide, even when I was trailing behind.
Our guide was great, providing pertinent information and color about everything we were seeing. The walking pace was moderate and never did I feel like we were speed walking to the next site. Our guide was also very careful with our path through the towns, making sure we were aware of vehicles and other dangers.
