Lappet Faced Safaris

We recently traveled through Tanzania visiting Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We were impressed by the game-packed game drives with Gabriel the tour guide from Lappet Faced Safaris. He knew the parks like the back of his hand, patient and thoughtful letting us enjoy interesting scenes as long as we wanted. Above all he drove the well appointed safari vehicle carefully going through some tricky sections where some rookie drivers got stuck
The accommodations organized by Lappet Faced Safaris were above excellent. Just the right level of comfort and great food out there in the wild.

Fransisco organized a private safari for our family of 7 (5 children aged 2-12) to Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro, Serengeti NP, with a follow-on stay in Zanzibar. This was the most phenomenal experience we could imagine!!
From the onset of planning the trip he was responsive and listened to our many requests. To an easy arrival/airport pickup and transport in his Land Cruiser with plenty of snacks and drinks that he kept replenished throughout. To safari—Francisco knew how to set the days accordingly to allow optimal viewing of wildlife and plenty of R&R for the kids at each of our lodges’ pools. He always knew where to find the wildlife and was extremely knowledgeable as a modern Masai; teaching us culture and answered all the animal questions we could think of. He selected accommodations in the Serena line which proved perfect for hospitality, food, family friendliness and stunning beauty!
The Zanzibar extension was the perfect conclusion to our African experience and left us refreshed and ready to return to the real-world.
There are many big agency tours available for Tanzania safari, but you will benefit more from the personal attention of Lappet Faced Safaris. We could not be happier with our dream vacation and wouldn’t entrust anyone else!

I just completed the 7 Days Machame trek with Lappet Faced Safaris and it was absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to take care of me and everyone in our group. Despite the grueling nature of the hike, I felt completely spoiled by the delicious food, spacious tents, private toilet, and so many more luxuries. They completely surprised me with a two layer decorated cake complete with birthday candles for my 54 birthday one night. I’ll remember the kindness, generosity, strength, and work ethic of our guides, chef, waiter and porters. Our guide Raymond was patient, friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable - request him on your trip!! Our chef Fredy made the most delicious meals I’ve ever had - all in a tent with equipment and food he carried up the mountain. Raymond, and his team of porters, including the inspiring Fredy, were so friendly and hardworking. Joshua the waiter helped me find a bathroom in an emergency, he made sure our whole group always had whatever we wanted in terms of food and drink, he was fantastic! The whole Lappet Faced Safaris team was inspiring, easy to work with, and went above and beyond to truly make my trip a once in a lifetime event. I highly recommend this company.
