Itinerary
Landing in to the ancient metropolis of Athens, we’ll settle in to our fancy hotel digs and join forces to get the low down on how the next 11 days will run. After, why not kick start your Greek food safari with dinner in the rustic Plaka district, getting excited for tomorrow’s possibilities and the tantalizing call of the Aegean.
We have the first part of the day to run riot in the city of Athens. Climb around the massive Theatre of Dionysus, sift through treasures at the Monastiraki Flea Market or visit Brettos, one of the oldest distillery’s in Greece. In the afternoon it is time to hit the...
These next two days in Mykonosare a game of choose your own adventure. Whether you want to fly high and fancy at a beach club like Hippie Fish or Buddha Bar, or keep things easy with a stroll through Little Venice and a spot of snorkelling, these days will prove as beautiful as the bougainvillea doused houses.
This morning we’ll wake up and hit the seas, letting the salt air and sunshine work their magic on our Mykonos induced sore heads. Overnight we’ll have floated to another island paradise, allowing us to rise and shine in the arms of Milos. Here in this dreamy playgro...
Just in time for breakfast, we’ll drop anchor at the island some may refer to as ‘heaven on earth’. Iconic dome churches, lines of boutique stores, and cliffs that drop towards the azure crystal ocean – ladies and gentlemen, enjoy your time in Santorini.
Rise and Shine, the island of Santorini will not explore itself. Take a swim at Perissa Beach, eat the local speciality of fried tomato balls known as domatokeftedes, and roam the streets of Fira. It's finally your turn to make your friends jealous with outrageous Instagram snaps. Later, we head to the seas again towards Heraklion the capital of Crete - the largest of the Greek Islands.
Today we’ll be nesting on the big boy of Crete, having docked in the harbour of Heraklion. If you’ve had enough of cocktails and beach umbrellas (although unlikely), this port offers museums, history, and the pretty Georgiadis Park, so plenty of ways to mix it up a bit.
Never ones to miss an opportunity to visit a new country, today we’ll make a trip to our Turkish neighbours of the east. Why not hunt for one-of-a-kind souvenirs at Kusadasi’s bazaar of treasures, or take a tour to Ephesus if you’re feeling nostalgic. We have all day ...
Today, we’ll see a side of Greece that is neither Athens or the islands, getting an understanding for the culturally diverse history of this country. Who’s ready to see the birth place of the Olympic Games? Hosting the first Olympic Games waaaay back in 776BC, the ar...
Claiming our place in sporting history, we’ll be ready to kick on to our final point of interest on the Greek map. Heading to the slopes of Mount Parnassus, we’ll discover what was once considered the centre of the world to the Greeks. Covered in a splattering of cul...
With enough historical knowledge stowed away to last us a life time, we’ll hit the road and head back to the country’s cultured capital for our finale. That’s all folks. Our 12 days in Greece (with a lil side trip to Turkey) will be finished by 6pm this evening. Best start mapping out your next piece of adventure to kick those post holiday blues.
