Day 1: Arrive Rome

We’ll arrive in Rome and settle in to our boutique digs, where the word ‘bland’ won’t even enter our dictionary. Wasting no time getting acquainted with the city, we’ll have a 4pm pow wow before taking to the streets.

Day 2: Rome to Sorrento

With boxes ticked and the capital approved of, we’ll be ready to peel back a few more layers of this boot shaped country. Just before we swan off to sunny Sorrento, we’ll poke our heads around the Vatican City. After a tour through the iconic Sistine Chapel, St. Peter...

Day 3: Capri Excursion

This morning you can enjoy an easy breezy morning catching the first creamy rays of the day in a bath robe sipping coffee. For once your ‘Woke Up Like This’ situation is even better in real life than it is in photos. Famous world over for its shimmering beauty and en...

Day 4: Sorrento to Florence

Pack your bags and cast your last wistful stares upon the Gulf of Naples. Today we’re heading to where the Tuscan sun dances on groves of succulent olives. Adding to the ever-growing encyclopedia of our knowledge collected on travels, we’ll detour past the ruins of P...

Day 5: Florence

With a full day to go local in Florence, you should grab a caffè latte pronto. We’ll take you to all the iconic musts, then you can make your own bespoke discoveries. The south bank of the Arno is the place to be, scattered with bookshops, cocktail bars & all the cool Florentine kids.

Day 6: Florence to Venice

Keeping on the theme of romantic Italian cities, we’ll hop from Florence to the setting of Romeo & Juliet. Heart filled eyes will be all amongst us as we step into the Shakespearean scene of fair Verona. Although there will be no Leonardo DiCaprio in sight, there...

Day 7: Venice

Hidden lanes and story book bridges are ours on this full day in Venice. We’ll take a private boat through the city’s canals & islands, and see all the iconic hotspots to boot. You can then go a little deeper by catching 20th century art at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection Museum, or sampling fresh local produce at the markets of Rialto Bridge.

Day 8: Venice to Milan

Along the pretty shores of Lake Garda, we drop into the quintessential European lake town of Sirmione, complete with vine-covered villas, Roman ruins and a castle. For amazing views of the surrounding Dolomite Mountain range and an interesting lakeside look at the loc...

Day 9: Milan to The Riviera

Unless you’ve got mountains of cash to splash on this city’s line up of boutique shopping, you’ll be happy to hear we’re heading off before the temptation gets the better of us. Trading our sleek city get up for some suave boating attire, we’ll move from Milan to the ...

Day 10: The Riviera to Rome

Heartbreak though it may be that we’re departing from the Riviera, today is jam packed with Italian goodness, so we won’t be sad for long. With a world famous monument and a winery on the agenda, today is going to be a good one. Shortly after leaving the Italian Rivi...

Day 11: Rome

Today The Eternal City is ours – we’ll purr through its charming narrow lanes & slip into the espresso sipping culture. More exploring can be done in the borough of Monti, where Rome’s creative cats meander & linger. Being our last night on trip we have a treat in store, an optional dinner boasting an opera singer, live music and pasta.

Day 12: Depart Rome

The trip ends after breakfast and it’s time to say “arrivederci” to your new friends.

We’re firm believers that life’s greatest experiences are made better by the people you share them with. That’s why Contiki invented group travel for young people in 1962 and we’ve spent the past 53 years perfecting it. You’ll explore amazing destinations with a group of 18-35 year olds from around the world who share your passion for adventure, good times and creating memories that define what it is to be young, wild and free.

No two travellers are the same and we know that, which is why we offer eight unique ways to explore the world. We have a number of options to choose from to create a vacation that’s perfect for you, from budget to accommodation style.

We're all about exploring the world with like-minded people, which is why we only run trips for 18-35 year olds, to celebrate being young, spirited and curious. You can expect to join a group of 18-53 awesome people from around the world on our Europe, Australia, North America and New Zealand trips, and in Asia and Latin America it's all about small group adventures with up to 25 travellers. Don't worry if you're not traveling as a couple or with a friend from home – though there are plenty of pairs, 50% of our travellers set off solo, meaning you'll have a ton of opportunities to make new friends.

With over 270 trips around the world and plenty of departure dates to work into your schedule, you'll never be short of options on where to go for your next great adventure.
