Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Boston

Oh hey there Boston, let's do this. Spend the afternoon with your Trip Manager getting acquainted with the city’s core spots and distinct Irish flavour, then come sundown get friendly with the team over an included dinner and wander round town.

Day 2: Boston

Boston is steeped in history, so weave your way through the 18th century today on the Freedom Trail. This red-brick path winds past a plethora of sites integral to the revolution, and is guaranteed to inspire your inner rebel. Take well-deserved coffee breaks at groov...

Day 3: Boston to New York City

We pack our bags and say Goodbye to Boston without leaving anything behind and we are heading for the Big Apple. HELLOOOOO BIG APPLE! Let’s get you somewhat more familiar with this place by opening up New York Manhattan. Museum Row includes all the most prestigious N...

Day 4: New York City

Side and take in some immigration history at the Tenement Museum. Grab a gourmet bite to eat at the famous Chelsea Market or opt to channel New Yorks most famous foursome on a Sex and the City tour, then perhaps hit trendy Williamsburg or the East Village to check out some impressive urban street art. Whatever you're feeling, NYC won't disappoint.

Day 5: New York City to Philadelphia

Start spreading the news; we are leaving today, and you've been a part of it in old New York. That’s right ladies and gentlemen our next stop is calling, and it sounds a whole lot like Philly. But not before a trip to visit Lady Liberty herself...oh yes. At 151ft she ...

Day 6: Philadelphia to Washington D.C. via Amish Country

Say goodbye to this city teeming with people and history. This is where America declared its Independence; they're used to a little rabble-rousing, and we're sure you've made quite the impact. Welcome to DC. We'll get right into it by visiting the Arlington Cemetery...

Day 7: Washington D.C.

Peddle round the city on a pushbike this morning to get your bearings, or take a Segway tour for an almost serious way to get around. Later, you could dose up on intellectualism at one of the 19 Smithsonian Museums, visiting the world-class Holocaust Museum and treating your inner Bond (or Bond girl) at the Spy Museum.

Day 8: Washington D.C.

After breakfast, it's time to leave the political stage behind (sigh). No doubt this will have been 8 incredible days with new friends, new memories and plans to reunite somewhere amazing soon…Europe trip, anyone?

We’re firm believers that life’s greatest experiences are made better by the people you share them with. That’s why Contiki invented group travel for young people in 1962 and we’ve spent the past 53 years perfecting it. You’ll explore amazing destinations with a group of 18-35 year olds from around the world who share your passion for adventure, good times and creating memories that define what it is to be young, wild and free.

No two travellers are the same and we know that, which is why we offer eight unique ways to explore the world. We have a number of options to choose from to create a vacation that’s perfect for you, from budget to accommodation style.

We're all about exploring the world with like-minded people, which is why we only run trips for 18-35 year olds, to celebrate being young, spirited and curious. You can expect to join a group of 18-53 awesome people from around the world on our Europe, Australia, North America and New Zealand trips, and in Asia and Latin America it's all about small group adventures with up to 25 travellers. Don't worry if you're not traveling as a couple or with a friend from home – though there are plenty of pairs, 50% of our travellers set off solo, meaning you'll have a ton of opportunities to make new friends.

With over 270 trips around the world and plenty of departure dates to work into your schedule, you'll never be short of options on where to go for your next great adventure.
