Today’s Distance: 249 mi/ 400 km (B)

    Day 5 : BERLIN.

BERLIN. No longer divided but every bit as fascinating, Berlin was once the city of contrasts with the wall separating two different worlds. Now, the city has developed into a harmonious blend of new and old, preserving its historical buildings and impressive boulevards as well as creating brand new buildings in the most daring architectural styles. See all of this on the included city sightseeing with a Local Guide. Consider an optional excursion this afternoon. (B)

    Day 6 : BERLIN–DRESDEN–LEIPZIG.

    BERLIN–DRESDEN–LEIPZIG. Today’s Distance: 249 mi/ 400 km (B)

My husband and I took this tour in October 2015. Our tour guide was Dory and our driver Mario. Both were beyond excellent! They made the tour so much fun! As with any type of tour some of the hotels were nicer than others, some of the food better than others, but on the whole it was a great value for the money.

We got a great overview of the country, although you don't stay long in most of the cities it is a fabulous tour, just as stated highlights of Germany!

Don't hesitate to book the tour, you will have a great time!

There was a lot of time spent on the bus but the sightseeing, bus driver, and tour guide were phenomenal. The food and hotels weren't great at a couple spots but overall everything was nice. We saw practically the whole country and learned so much. I highly recommend this tour

I felt this trip route was better for the northern Germany part than the Globus route. The hotels were adequate, some better than others. The hotels are usually outside of the cosmopolitan centers but this also keeps the tour cost down. I had hotels right next to beautiful city parks. Generally, no complaints on accommodations. It would have been nice to make a short stop at Oberammergau since we were so close. The trip really picked up at Rothenburg, Munich, Neuschwanstein, and Black Forest (Bad Herrenalb). At the latter, it was really peaceful in a beautiful village. In Munich, it is worth going to the Hofbrauhaus for the experience. It is quite nice inside, can be seated indoors or outdoors, and there are three floors. The food wasn't that great for the price. I think this tour is a good value for the price. Just take in consideration the location of the hotels and may have to take public transportation into the city center.

This was a wonderful trip. I was traveling alone and met some wonderful people from Australia. I had a great time on this trip and would do it again in a heart beat. Our tour director was fabulous she was very much enlightened as to the towns we visited. We started off in Frankfort and traveled to Cologne, Hamlin, Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Neuenburg, Munich and Heidelberg. We went through the Black Forest and visited Neuschwanstein Castle. I am going to travel with Cosmos again this year on a trip to Italy. Our tour Director was Andrea Janska if you have a chance to tour Germany I hope you get her as your tour director.

Wonderful introduction to Germany, hitting both the major cities and smaller historic towns. Pace was nice with a good mix of structured activites and free time.
