Full Day Rosario Islands with lunch 8:00 AM This morning, you will be joined by other travelers as you board a boat to the idyllic Corales del Rosario National Park*, famous for its white beaches and crystal-clear waters. The 'Islas del Rosario' archipelago is a national park and a natural habitat for a large variety of marine flora and fauna. Three ecosystems thrive here: coastal lagoons, mangroves, and tropical forests. After a refreshing swim, relax in the shade of a palm tree. Perhaps, choose to rent equipment (extra cost, paid locally) for snorkeling, in the beautiful barrier reefs, full of colorful marine life and gorgeous soft and hard corals. Lunch is provided. Return to your hotel late in the afternoon. *It takes one hour to get to the Rosario Islands by boat. This is not a Gate 1 exclusive tour, expect to share services with other travelers. No Gate1 representative will be at the island or on the boat. During January and February, strong winds are common in Cartagena. For this reason, you may encounter rough waters. Passengers with back problems and other medical conditions should consider whether this optional tour is right for them. Pregnant women and children younger than 8 years old are not permitted to participate in this tour. Water shoes are recommended. Departs at 8 AM from your hotel and returns at 4 PM (weather delays are to be expected). Pick-up from hotel lobby approximately 15 minutes prior to departure time.
