Overview

Short Description

Australia and New Zealand have developed an international reputation for award-winning wines and on this Australia and New Zealand tour, you'll visit many of the wine regions and tour some of the wineries. You'll overnight in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Queenstown, Wellington, Napier, and Auckland, stopping first at the Great Barrier Reef (Cairns). End your vacation in tropical Fiji with a sightseeing tour and plenty of leisure time to swim, snorkel, take a bike ride, or relax on the beach.

In Australia, visit the wine regions of Yarra Valley, with a cold climate perfect for high-quality grape growing; Barossa Valley, one of the world’s great wine growing areas; and Hunter Valley, home to over 120 wineries. Lunch at Rochford Wines (a special experience included by Globus) gives you an introduction to Australia's wines. Also visit some of Australia’s most famous wineries, including Jacobs Creek; Seppeltsfield, famous as the world’s only winery to release a 100-year-old, single vintage wine each year; and McGuigan Wines, named International Winemaker of the Year for a record four times. In New Zealand, enjoy lunch at a winery on beautiful Waiheke Island and visit the Hawke's Bay region, New Zealand's second-largest wine region.

In addition to wineries, this Australia and New Zealand tour also features a visit to Kangaroo Island, where you’ll see kangaroos, koalas, Australian sea lions, New Zealand fur seals, and stunning views. At Healesville Sanctuary, the best place to see Australia’s wildlife in their natural habitat, see wombats, kangaroos, dingoes, platypus, and more. In New Zealand’s Fiordland National Park, witness some of the world’s most breathtaking scenery of Milford Sound on your cruise. In Cairns, take a high-speed catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. There’s time to snorkel, take a semi-submersible watercraft tour, and attend a presentation by a marine biologist.

All of this and much more—including a tasting tour at Adelaide’s thriving Central Market—await you on this marvelous tour through Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.

Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.

We had booked a trip in June of 2020 for spring of 2021. When they cancelled our trip we called and told them we would like our money back since that was an option, and it took about 6 weeks but our whole party (6) of us, received our money on each individual card we used. I’m surprised at all the people saying they can’t get their money back, we dealt with the company directly, the lady that booked our trip was very helpful. This would of been our 4th trip, and we always enjoy them.

DON'T USE GLOBUS OR TOUR RADAR - They will not return our Deposit

Our tour of Norway was booked in 2019. The trip was supposed to take place June - July 2020. Then Covid came.
We are from Australia and were heavily locked down from about March 2020. We wrote to the travel agent (TOUR RADAR) who have done little to help get our $700 deposit returned to us. In contrast we had all of our Air Fares returned by the airline we were going to use and had booked with directly (No travel Agent involved).
We were given a credit to use by June - July 2021. However, there is no way we will be able to travel to Norway at this time either because international travel (except to New Zealand) is not permitted by the Australian Government. Not that we would want to go anyway because of the high number of Covid cases in Europe and Scandinavia.
Tour Radar and Globus now say that we should extend the credit yet again to 2022. We are at a vulnerable age and by 2022 will most likely not be able to travel internationally again, even with Covid under control.
Decent companies have returned monies paid but Globus and Tour radar continue to refuse. They are stealing our money.
