Day 1 : SHANGHAIA

Arrive in Shanghai, transfer to your hotel, and meet your fellow travellers and Tour Leader (or local guide).Hotel: Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Xujiahui (or similar)

Day 2 : SHANGHAI CITY TOURO

Once known as the ‘Pearl of the Orient’, Shanghai has emerged as one of Asia’s most important cities and is a buzzing contemporary metropolis. Discover the historical riverfront area known as the Bund which is home to an impressive collection of 1920s neoclassical buildings. Visit a silk factory to learn more about the ancient practice of silk production in China. Venture away from the crowds to one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Shanghai and discover Confucius Temple, surrounded by shi ku men houses. Head to the Old Chinese Quarter and wander through Yu Garden. In the evening, enjoy an acrobatic performance.Hotel: Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Xujiahui (or similar)

Day 3 : ZHUJIAJIAOV

Visit charming Zhujiajiao, a traditional water canal town dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties, located just outside Shanghai. Enjoy a short cruise along the narrow canals to see old wooden waterside houses and glide under arch stone bridges. Return to Shanghai and visit a hidden gem, the Propaganda Poster Art Centre.Hotel: Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Xujiahui (or similar)

Day 4 : SHANGHAI TO XIANA

After a morning at leisure, fly to Xian. In the evening, take the opportunity to sample Xian’s famous dumplings at a local restaurant or discover your own eatery to try some local delicacies.Hotel: Mercure Xian on Renmin Square (or similar)

Day 5 : ARMY OF TERRACOTTA WARRIORSD

Drive a short distance to the site of the Army of Terracotta Warriors – one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Many archaeologists believe that the warriors discovered so far, might be part of an even larger terracotta army still buried in vaults around the Emperor’s tomb. After lunch, you have an opportunity to visit a Terracotta Warrior Factory to learn about the complex production process of these fascinating sculptures.Hotel: Mercure Xian on Renmin Square (or similar)

Day 6 : XIAN TO BEIJINGE

Enjoy a morning stroll through Xian’s City Park, where local people gather daily to socialise and participate in all sorts of activities from Tai Chi, badminton, Chinese calligraphy, and even ballroom dancing. Visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda designed to house the sacred Buddhist scriptures brought back from India to translate into Chinese script. Continue to Xian’s Muslim Quarter and visit the Great Mosque. Enjoy a bike ride atop Xian’s Old City Walls before travelling by high-speed train to Beijing and transfer to your hotel.Hotel: Novotel Beijing Xinqiao (or similar)

Day 7 : TIANANMEN SQUARE &

& FORBIDDEN CITYDiscover Beijing’s impressive sites including Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Venture into the traditional residential alleyways known as ‘hutongs’ to share a home-cooked lunch with a local family before hopping into a rickshaw for close-up glimpses of life in these narrow laneways. Stroll to the city’s famous Drum Tower, once used to mark the passing of time. Enjoy a free evening to explore the vibrant nightlife around your hotel.Hotel: Novotel Beijing Xinqiao (or similar)

Day 8 : TEMPLE OF HEAVENE

Experience a local breakfast before visiting the iconic Temple of Heaven, a perfect example of Ming architecture and a symbol of Beijing. Afterwards, visit the Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall to gain a glimpse of the city’s past and present development as well as the city’s future. Day 9 : GREAT WALL OF CHINAT

The Great Wall of China is without a doubt one of the world’s most famous man-made sites. Travel to the Mutianyu section of the wall to explore this incredible creation.
