Highlights

    • This itinerary is a little special: unlike most croatia cruises, it also includes stops in albania, montenegro and greece. you’re getting four countries in eight days.
    • We’ll sail as far south as corfu, the ‘grand lady’ of the ionian islands and the greenest island in all of greece. take a short walk through the unesco heritage city centre.
    • While large cruise liners have to moor out at sea and commute into shore via tender, we drop anchor in the middle of port towns like saranda or korcula. you can hop on or off the boat as you please.
    • There’s nothing like diving into the aquamarine waters of the adriatic coast. weather permitting, our captain will be stopping the ship for regular swim breaks during the trip, particularly around bar and kotor.
    • This itinerary includes a special trip to saranda on the albanian riviera. we’ve also organised an optional excursion to the archaeological site of butrint on the straits of corfu.

What's this trip about?

Following the lead of their neighbours Croatia and Greece, Montenegro and Albania are emerging as some of the most exciting destinations in Europe. This 8-day small ship adventure cruise offers a fascinating insight into the past and the region’s rich cultural diversity. The best way to experience the Balkans is from the shimmering waters of the Adriatic Sea. Board the M/S Panorama, which offers the highest standard of accommodation, comfort and safety, and cruise from the iconic city walls of Dubrovnik to the romantic and evocative Old Town of Korcula. Turn south for Montenegro, home to pristine natural landscapes and rustic towns oozing old-Europe charm. Continue the voyage to Greece, stopping at the olive-groved island of Paxos and the Ionian Islands’ Grand Lady, Corfu. In Saranda, Albania, find a slice of the Riviera, then dock near the secluded bay of 5th-century Kotor. Refreshing swim stops, local wine tastings and fortified towns, this Adriatic adventure has all the ingredients for a memorable journey.

It’s been more than 36 years since our first small group set out to discover Nepal. It’s this heritage and our reputation that keeps travellers coming back time and time again.

We appeal to the well-travelled, discerning traveller. The one who chooses value over price, and wants to immerse themselves in a place instead of just ticking landmarks off a bucket list. The type of person who would rather stay in a family run B&B built in a 16th century Venetian convent than a forgettable hotel. We’re for travellers who want inclusions along the way instead of fiddling around for loose change.

Almost 20 years ago, Peregrine led an industry revolution by solely employing locally born leaders. This innovative approach gives our travellers a deeper insight into the countries they visit. Doorways are opened and a true understanding of the place is fostered.

At Peregrine, we travel in intimate groups and take the time to get under the skin of a destination. Of course we all want to see the Taj Mahal in India. But imagine then heading to a remote Rajasthani village and learning about rural life while in the company of locals. Seeing the famous sites is a must, but it’s often the memory of wandering through a small village or sharing dinner with a local family that will leave a lasting impact.

We promise to share our knowledge and expertise with you, and ensure you will come home with stories you will tell for years to come.

Why we love this operator
Since their founding in 1977 by trekkers exploring Nepal, they’ve maintained a strong connection to local culture and the “traveler spirit”.
What they’re known for
Immersive experiences that prioritize value, authenticity and adventure over luxury touches for older travelers.
