Short Description
Tanzania has the largest wild animal population in the world. The country's sites have magical names: The Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge, Kilimanjaro. Our trip has been structured with only a short time in the urban capitals, leaving us with ample time for game drives as we move right into the bush. Different national parks have been included for a variety of landscape and game.
Besides the game and birds, the population of Tanzania is very exotic with 260 tribes; we'll see their villages and crafts.

Day 1: New York / Amsterdam
Depart New York’s JFK Airport onboard KLM Royal Dutch overnight flight to Amsterdam.
Day 2: Amsterdam / Arrive Kilimanjaro
Meals: Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight Lake Duluti Serena Hotel
Morning arrival and connect with KLM Royal Dutch flight to Kilimanjaro Airport, Tanzania. Upon arrival this evening, you will be met and escorted to your lodge.
Day 3: Arusha / Tarangire National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight Tarangire Sopa Lodge.
Drive to Tarangire National Park, where you will enjoy afternoon game viewing.
Day 4: Tarangire National Park / Lake Manyara - Village Visit
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge.
After a morning of game viewing and a picnic lunch in Tarangire National Park, continue to Lake Manyara National Park. This afternoon enjoy a village walk. A real cultural experience, feeling the heartbeat of an authentic African village with every step you take. Shopping opportunities include wood carvings, handicrafts and other local goods.
Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge
On your full-day game drive you'll find an abundance of wildlife, including hippo, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, leopard, impala, wildebeest, baboons and monkeys.
Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park / Ngorongoro Crater
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Ascend through the highlands to the very rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. From there, descend into the crater for a full afternoon of game viewing. Vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, buffalo, and their predators - the big cats - roam the crater floor.
Day 7: Ngorongoro / Masai Village / Olduvai Gorge / Serengeti National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.
Depart Ngorongoro bound for Serengeti National Park. Stop at a small Masai Village and learn more about their traditional ways of life. We then visit Olduvai Gorge, an archeological site extensively excavated by the Leakeys. Here we will have a short lecture from a specialist guide before visiting the small museum. Continue to Serengeti National Park, where huge herds of wildebeest, antelope and zebra provide an unequalled wildlife spectacle. Later, enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Day 8: Serengeti National Park
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge.
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti National Park (alternately, we can provide a full day game drive with picnic lunch). A balloon safari at dawn is available (additional cost).
Day 9: Serengeti / Arusha - Shopping
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight Lake Duluti Serena Hotel.
This morning's pre-breakfast game drive is your final opportunity to bask in the unmatched grandeur of the African safari lands before flying to Arusha for lunch.
Spend some time shopping at the local markets or at the Cultural Centre where you can find a variety of wood carvings, handicrafts and Tanzanite.
Day 10: Arusha - Shopping / Depart Kilimanjaro
Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
Full day with vehicle and driver at your disposal for shopping and exploring the town of Arusha. Day-use room at your hotel to freshen up (6pm check out). Late evening transfer to the airport for your departure flight. KLM Royal Dutch overnight flight to Amsterdam.
Day 11: Amsterdam / New York
Morning arrival and connect with KLM Royal Dutch flight to New York’s JFK Airport. (OPTIONAL - Amsterdam Stop Over Package)

Cancellation policy
Due to the special nature of the programs featured in this brochure, suppliers impose rigid cancellation fees; please be aware that SITA has no control over such fees and cannot make any exceptions to these charges.
Note: All cancellations must be received by SITA in writing; cancellation/s will be effective when the written notice is received at SITA's offices in Encino, CA.
If a cancellation is received after SITA is in possession of the initial deposit, but more than 60 days prior to departure (or 90 days if applicable), the cancellation fee incurred will be $350 per person (a higher cancellation fee may apply to some tours). If cancellation is received between 59 and 45 days (or 89 - 45 days) prior to departure the fee incurred will be 25% of the entire tour price. If final payment has been received before 60 days (or 90 days) prior to departure, and cancellation occurs, the fee incurred will be 25% of the entire tour price. Cancellation/s received between 44 days and 30 days prior to departure will be charged a fee of 50% of the entire tour price. NO REFUNDS whatsoever will be made for cancellations received within the last 30 days prior to departure.
