Day 1: Arrive Oslo (2 Nights)

Welcome to Oslo. Relax and unwind after check-in or spend time exploring Norway's lively capital city. Join your Travel Director and fellow travellers later this evening for a Welcome Reception.Welcome Reception

Day 2: Oslo Sightseeing

Your Local Specialist takes you on a sightseeing tour this morning which includes views of the medieval fortress of Akershus, the Opera and the Royal Palace, finishing with a visit to the Vigeland Sculpture Park. Spend the rest of the day relaxing, shopping for unique souvenirs or perhaps visit the Fram Polar Ship Museum and Viking Ship Museum.Scandinavian Breakfast

Day 3: Oslo – Hamar – Lillehammer

This morning leave Oslo and see the unusual Olympic ice rink beside the largest lake in Norway at Hamar. In Lillehammer hear all about the Winter Olympics which took place in the city in 1994 - which were noteworthy for their environmental conservation.Scandinavian Breakfast

Day 4: Lillehammer – Lom – Geiranger

Travel to the mountain village of Lom and visit one of the most beautiful stave churches in the country. Stave churches are constructed out of wood and many in Norway date from the 12th and 13th centuries. This afternoon arrive at spectacular Geiranger Fjord - a UNESCO World Heritage site.Scandinavian Breakfast, Dinner

Day 5: Geiranger – Trondheim

Travel through spectacular scenery enroute to Norway's third largest city Trondheim. Once the seat of ancient Viking kings, Trondheim has many interesting sights to see associated with its illustrious history including the Market Square, Nidaros Cathedra and the Old Town Bridge.Scandinavian Breakfast

Day 6: Trondheim – Mosjøen

Today head north to a town located just 80 km south of the Arctic Circle. Travel past mountains, glaciers and small towns with wooden buildings and stop to view the impressive Laksfoss Falls. Upon arrival, dinner will be served at your hotel.Scandinavian Breakfast, Dinner

Day 7: Mosjøen – Narvik

Cross over and into the Arctic Circle today and head north to Narvik - a northern community located in some of the most stunning scenery. Hear tales about how this part of Norway had a part to play in the Second World War.Scandinavian Breakfast, Dinner

Day 8: Narvik – Tromsø (2 Nights)

Travel today to Tromso which is a major cultural hub within the Arctic Circle and known as 'Capital of the Arctic'. The area is famed for being one of the best places to view the spectacular Northern Lights which sometimes light up the night sky in the winter months. The town is characterised by century old wooden houses.Scandinavian Breakfast

Day 9: Tromsø Sightseeing

Enjoy a free day to relax in Tromso home to the Arctic Cathedral and university. Explore the town - alternatively, your Travel Director will suggest some Optional Experiences for you to consider.Scandinavian Breakfast

Day 10: Tromsø – Alta

Today your journey takes you through spectacular countryside with ferry crossings that will give you outstanding views of glaciers, water and mountains. Arrive in Alta and hear about how the town was seriously destroyed by fire near the end of the Second World War. View the Cathedral of the Northern Lights.Scandinavian Breakfast

Day 11: Alta – Honningsvåg

This morning drive to Honningsvag and after free time for lunch, perhaps join an arctic adventure Optional Experience. Later enjoy champagne and caviar as you witness the breath-taking views of the land of the midnight sun at the North Cape Visitor Centre. Scandinavian Breakfast, Dinner

Day 12: Honningsvåg – Saariselkä

Day 13: Saariselkä – Rovaniemi (2 Nights)

Day 15: Rovaniemi – Jyväskylä

Jyvaskyla; is located in a region known as the Finnish Lakeland as it is surrounded by 328 lakes. The city has a nickname - "Athens of Finland". This nickname refers to the major role of Jyvaskyla as an educational centre as it was the first place in the world to provide education in Finnish. Day 16: Jyväskylä – Helsinki

Travel south to the vibrant seaside capital city of Helsinki where you meet your Local Specialist.
