There’s been much confusion in recent days surrounding travel bans put in place by the Trump administration and other nations as well. Here are the facts about where Americans are restricted from traveling to as of February 3rd.
Currently the only country that has made retaliatory restrictions to Americans is Iran.
However, there has been no official warning made by the US State Department regarding visiting Iran (though a group of US wrestlers heading there for a tournament were barred entry by the Iranian government, in response to the travel ban on several Muslim countries, imposed by President Trump).
United States citizens can, as of now, still travel to Iran, but check back regularly as tensions with the Middle East are high and could escalate further.
To travel to Iran, you need a visa, obtainable from the Iranian Interests Section of the Embassy of Pakistan, and you are required to visit on a guided tour.

**Update 2/8/2017** According to an article by the New York Times, some tour companies are choosing to temporarily cancel or postpone guided trips to Iran.
