    Meals included:

Dinner: All breakfasts, 1 lunch and 3 dinners are included. For one of the dinners included, on the final night of the tour, this will be in a 1-star Michelin restaurant known for its innovative style of cooking. Other gastronomic experiences that are included in the itinerary: * Local produce tasting in Madrid's Mercado San Miguel * Madrid tapas tour * Marzipan cooking demonstration and cooking class in Toledo * Wine and cheese tasting in Bodega Finca Montepedroso * Tapas crawl in Salamanca Please be advised drinks are not included with meals or on the tapas tours. In central Spain, food is commonly prepared in a rustic style with influences of Jewish, Muslim and Christian cuisines. The region is well known for its soups, roasted meats, fine hams and sausages, as well as cheeses. There will also be several opportunities to try popular tapas dishes and local produce along the way. Madrid is well known for its chocolate con churros and seafood dishes, despite being located inland and is considered a culinary capital of Europe. In Toledo the local egg yolk sweets called yemas and marzipan are very popular whilst in Segovia we have an included dinner where we will try the famous suckling pig.  Whilst vegetarian and special diets can be catered for, options are very limited throughout this region of Spain due to the local cuisine heavily featuring meat and game. Please inform the office of any specific requirements upon booking. As this is a food focused itinerary with several meal inclusions, we would like to highlight that many of these specialties and inclusions are meat focused. Meal times in Spain are later than in many other countries; dinner is usually taken between 20:00hrs and 21.30hrs.
