Costsaver

I reserved a tour O& Europe in early 2019 for a tour commencing in June 2020. The terms of cancelation by Costsaver in effect at time of booking offered a full refund. Costsaver canceled the tour in April 2020 due to COVID -19 and refuses to give a refund as they have changed their terms and are claiming Force Majoure. They offer a future tour credit if used by 2021. I don’t plan on taking another tour so I am out the $900 that I have invested in the canceled tour.

I booked a trip in August 2019 for June 2020 date. Not only was I charged a different amount from the quote I was given, but then the trip was cancelled. I purchased travel insurance for nothing. I am now told that no refunds will be given and the credit is only good for those who were on the original itinerary. Not to mention when I call the airline, they say they can’t help because the airfare has not been canceled yet. I have tried communicating with the agent we booked with and he is just rude. I asked to speak to someone else or his supervisor and he told me there is no one. I have filled out contact forms and no one is following up. Terrible way to treat customers. I will never book with this company again.

Costsaver is using the word “suspend” instead of “cancel”, that way they can hold our money hostage.
They expect 100% of the people to be able to rebook by Dec 31, 2022. They do NOT care that some people can NOT rebook at this time! They need their money to survive during this time!
Rebooking isn’t their priority at the moment, their priority is being able to make their mortgage or just survive during this pandemic!
Costsaver will NOT be out a dime using the word “suspend”. That is a fact!
It will cost the consumer more money when rebooking because there will be price increases, is that fair to the consumer?

Costsaver has the power to treat us with respect and compassion but they rather hide behind recorded messages not even speaking personally with us! This is NOT how people treat others during a crisis
Costsaver will survive but will every consumer?

Refusing my refund. I applied in the allotted time. I cannot use a credit. My Dr says not to travel. Give me my money.

Stop charging to rebook a flight or tour during the pandemic. CFTO reported how you are trying to screw a customer trying to rebook his trip to Peru. You charged over $2000 in penalties. Then when Pat Foran of CFTO inquired, your company decided to lower the penalties down to $500. Shame on you for taking advantage of people when everyone is trying to stay safe. SHAME.

Had amazing time over 2 weeks in Europe on a European Adventures tour.
Our driver and guide were a fantastic couple of blokes who travel together often and their joint knowledge was exceptional.
Switzerland was amazing up 10,000ft up Mt Titlis in Engelberg. 45min train ride from Lucerne. would dfo it all again.

If you want to be treated like children on a school excursion then this is the tour company for you. They allocate the seating on the bus because the company doesn’t believe we can seat ourselves like adults. The optional extras are not represented accurately, so you expect one thing (dinner at Stirling Castle) but get something completely different (a talk in front of the castle and then dinner in a cramped tiny restaurant down the hill away from the castle). The couple of included dinners served up bland food and the tour guide talked continuously throughout each travel leg on the bus without giving us a break. The only great thing about this tour was the bus driver Lorraine. She was amazing and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome.

12 day European Experience.

For a glimpse of an array of countries and the best bits they have to offer, this is a tour to savour. From the Swiss Alps to Colosseum to the Vatican City, there is something unique in each new destination.

The tour was well organised, with hotels slightly out of the city centre, making the trip far more affordable. Plenty of optional extras meant you could go places with a group or explore each city on your own.

Our tour director Carly was very knowledgable and treated 46 different travellers with exceptional service. Having toured with other companies before the professionalism shown by Carly was beyond expectations. Her ability to make arrangements around the weather for travellers to be able to experience each event when the weather was best showed a great deal of foresight and was greatly appreciated.

The group of travellers ranged in age from primary school to retirees, but were all very respectful of one another and were all treated well by the tour director and coach driver Ludwig, whose patience was commendable. The respect each member of the tour showed one another in a very diverse group of people was incredible.

Each of the specialist tour guides we came across were also excellent and it was clear they also had a great deal of respect for Carly. I've found the tour director sets the tone for a tour and Costsaver have invested well in this area.

Having experienced some very poor customer service with other providers I couldn't recommend Costsaver more highly.

Just returned home from a South America Discovery Tour. FIRST time booking with Costsaver and also the LAST. No further comments for now as letter of complaint is in course to the Company - making them aware of their shortcomings.

We just completed our Italuan Scene tour on Sept.16th. I can not express enough what a wonderful, fun, informative and thoughtful Guide we had in Agostino Viola ! Also our Driver Michele was so nice, fun and definitely knew what he was doing! We saw so much in a relative short time, and had a blast with our fellow tour mates! This was our 25th Anniversary celebration and we were in Venice on that day. Agostino went far and beyond to make it a day we will always remember! The hotels were nice, food was out of this world great, walking past the long lines getting into some of the sites was fantastic, and by the time the tour was over we all felt like family. it was so organized and well planned, a little physically exhausting, but so worth it!! Again, my husband and I cam not emphasize the amount of hard work and great care Agostino gave to us all. I HIGHLY reccomend this tour (ask for one with Agostino) you'll not only completely enjoy it, but have memories for life ( not to forget all the new friends )
