Did the Moroccan Serenade tour recently with Peregrine. Loved it. All the day tour guides were amazing. I felt extremely safe in Morocco and eveyone was friendly. The Riads i stayed in were beautiful and the hotels were good as well. A special thank you to my tour leader Hamid who was very helpful and had a great knowledge of his country. I would travel with Peregrine again and would go back to Morocco in a heart beat.

We are independent travelers so do a lot of our own thing but have thrown in a mix of Peregrine trips over the past 7 years - China, Africa, Italy, Peru, Croatia and Turkey. This a company that's got it right - the small group - we have had 3 to 12 in our bus trips, the right amount of group touring and free time is something we really like but the best part of Peregrine are their guides - from Langer to Elvis to Peter to Stella - absolutely first class both with their knowledge but also expertise when something is thrown at them from left field in unexpected situation as happened on a couple of our trips. The group's safety, comfort and interests are utmost in their minds. Dinners at local restaurants (always an option - you can dine alone if you wish) was always good fun once the group had bonded after a couple of days. I'm sure Peter remembers only too well the restaurant in Sienna - he apologized to the other patrons on our behalf - have never laughed or had so much fun since. I cannot speak highly enough of Peregrine - we absolutely love their trips and looking forward to seeing Cuba with them in 2017.

I just returned from my first Peregrine trip, Memories of the Maharaja. Frankly, after taking two previous Intrepid tours (sister company) I was expecting a bit of 'comfort' (higher quality) and at least some level of interaction with the country. That was not the case -- the hotels were generally mediocre at best and mostly far-removed from the city centers, for all practical purposes eliminating any opportunity to explore on one's own. Practically the entire trip was spent getting from one destination to the next with our days so tightly planned that there was not time at all to get a sense of the country or the locations we visited. I knew there would be long bus rides, but I was still expecting something significantly different given the 'branding' of Peregrine. This was my idea of about the worse possible kind of travel.

Absolutely the most interesting and well organized tour of the Nile and its highlights. The tour guide Ahmed Helmy was so knowledgeable, caring, compassionate and passionate that it made the tour more relaxing and fun. Never for one minute did I feel vulnerable or worried about being in Egypt. The media make all this hype and put out warnings but seriously I have just had the safest and best holiday!!!! Thoroughly recommend to all tourists to come here. If it's on your bucket list do it now you won't regret it!!

Did the "Ancient Persia in Depth" tour in Sept 15. Peregrine did a great job in arranging the travel, itinerary, visa application, answering queries, etc. Could not fault the pre-tour organisation. Once on tour, we had the great fortune to be led by Mohsen Hajisaeid, a highly knowledgeable and professional tour guide with a passion for Iran, its history, culture and the tour guide industry generally. We were cared for down to the smallest detail.

Had a Turkey tasting tour in August with Peregrine. Great itinerary, brilliant guide. Good accommodation (mostly). The experience with a small group of people who are now friends was amazing.

I took my mom on Peregrine’s Secrets of Italy trip in August. The itinerary is a perfect “first timer” itinerary and hits the major highlights of Italy. In addition to all of the usual highlights (walking tour of Rome, boat trip in Venice, trip to see the leaning tower of Pisa, time to hike at Cinque Terre) we did a lot of unique activities as well. Some of our favorites included a pesto making class and a wine and food tasting at a local enoteca (we were full for weeks!). Our leader Florian was wonderful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. We both loved it and would travel with Peregrine again in a heartbeat!
(This trip is a public transport trip, so make sure to pack light, as you will need to carry your own bags through train stations, etc.)

Last year I spent 7 months traveling the world and on this amazing journey, I chose 5 Peregrine Adventure Tours.
This decision opened up a world of adventures, towns and villages which I would never have known about, save for the wonderful routes which Peregrine put together.
I never had to waste time booking train tickets or searching for accommodation, rather it was time well spent traveling and exploring new regions, with like minded individuals and enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides.
I truly had a most wonderful journey and have already gone back to Peregrine and had another two journeys, this year.
Give it a try and I think you will not regret it !
I went to places so far off the beaten track and I got to meet the locals and learn about their lives.
Go for it and you won't be disappointed
Safe travels - Kate S.
