the thousand islands were a delight

The service was the absolute best ever! The thousand islands and whale watching (plentiful) were delightful. Lots of belugas and synchronized swimming by the humpbacks; dual high fives and tail flukes.

As a solo traveler, and being in the travel industry for 50 years, I find it quite wise to experience the products I sell as a fully paid passenger (not identified as being in the industry).. I was absolutely delighted from the individual private airport pick-up to the final private airport departure transfer. The journey information information booklet provided was concise and the additional itinerary booklet, with its daily descriptions, covered every aspect of the journey. Our Alexander and Roberts trip representative, Crina Archer, was an absolute professional attending to our group...attentive to any individual needs, to all our many transfers and sightseeing requirements from check-in to final debarkation. The entire trip was a 5 star experience and I look forward to another adventure with A & R in the near future to another new destination for me.

Mackinac Island was delightful

I really wanted to go on this Great Lakes Cruise since I was born in Northern Minnesota. I wanted to learn more about the history and have the experience of cruising all Five Great Lakes. I was really impressed with the different shore excursions, especially Niagara Falls, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland (where I met up with my cousins), Detroit's Henry Ford Museum, Mackinaw Island and Manitoulin Island. Our trip leader Crina was very friendly and helpful as were all the staff aboard. Everything about the cruise was great.

We enjoyed all the stops, Niagara, Cleveland, Detroit, Little Current, Sault Ste. Marie, Mackinac Is. -all great. Guides were great. Tour group sizes good. buses nice except the one which didn't have AC, (not your fault) free time for shopping appreciated. The crew was efficient and friendly, Our A+R tour guide was very good. Process of getting on and off boat very efficient, also handling of passports so many times was efficiently done. Thank you for the limo ride to the Chicago airport.

Great variety of excursions. Particularly enjoyed Mackinac Island. The facial I had on cruise was best ever - delightful. Our Alexander+Roberts tour director was efficient, organized and lots of fun. Ship staff and variety of food very good.

The friendly staff on the ship were delightful

Loved the locks and the Great Lakes. New experiences always delight me. Loved the Ford Museum & Rock 'n Roll Museum. Niagara Falls was thrilling. Our limo at the beginning of trip was very special.

Great how easy it was to get around the ship from stateroom to dining room or to the Compass Room. Also, the friendliness of the crew (dining waiters, stateroom attendant) and the quality and taste of the food. The excursions were outstanding. All of them were interesting in themselves especially Mackinac Island, Detroit, and Cleveland Also, our Alexander and Roberts tour guide for the trip, Crina Archer, is and was an excellent guide. She was very much with us all the way, on the ship, on the excursions, helping in every way possible. One of our travelers had an injury on the ship, and the attention Crina gave to her helping to arrange wheelchairs on the ship and on the excursions, and in many other ways was great to see. My husband and I give her Five Stars Plus!

My husband and I went on the Great Lakes cruise on the Victory 1 boat and had a wonderful time. the cruise leader Crina Archer was always available to help us with whatever we needed. the tours were very well organized. the food on the boat was exceptional. I would like to think that Alexander + Roberts will have more small ship cruising as we are too old for land tours.

Delighted by the places we cruised to like Mackinac Island. Having two speakers cruise with us to talk about the places we go. We had excellent guides at every stop we made, even through customs. We were well taken care of. Hotel in Toronto with breakfast was excellent.

Loved the convenience of everything - from pick-up at airport, gathering place for participants to meet and store luggage prior to boarding, and transportation to ship.
