Style Style Small Group Tour Small groups are usually defined as between 10 and 24 travelers, often less. If you're the kind of person who enjoys more intimate experiences and personal service this is a good choice. All else being equal you will pay a premium for this style vs a larger group tour.
Private Guided Private tours give you the undivided attention of a guide, and often involve special access to sites and unique experiences not available to larger groups. This is a great option for families, couples, and small friend groups. Expect to pay a bit more for the extra service.
Self Guided Tour A travel company plans your itinerary and arranges all the logistics including lodging, local activities, and transportantion. You have the flexibility of a solo trip while still getting the convience and time savings of expert planning. Get 90% of the benefits of a tour, without a guide.
Group Tour Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.
River Cruise These vessels are smaller than most ocean cruisers, limiting which amenties are available. Passenger counts can vary. One of the biggest advantages of a river cruise is the ability to dock at smaller ports and local villages.
Small Ship Cruise Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.
Large Ship Cruise This is the "floating city" experience, with multiple ways to enjoy your vacation aboard the ship as much as on land. Ships are multiple floors, provide several activities, culinary, and shopping options. They often make fewer stops and have less time available for shore excursions.
Retreats Similar to a self guided tour but staying in one location only with activities and day outings included as a part of the stay.

Duy, the tour leader was attentive, informative and the food we were given was fantastic.
So much so, that we will organise another night street food tour in Hoi An when we arrive there.

a totally wonderful tour with Tereza who was passionate about Prague s history and her knowledge in general was expansive and was relayed to us with character which made the whole day so enjoyable highly recommended. Prague itself is stunning but to have the added bonus of a place to eat where the locals go and knowledge about this incredible city was very much a bonus.
My wife & I came away thoroughly invigorated after our tour .. really good !

I came away from this trip with a great understanding of Sri Lanka. It is a
beautiful country with stunning scenery, interesting buildings and lovely
people. Our fantastic guide Dileepa made the trip easy for us ( we were a
very small group), and he was extremely knowledgeable with the ability to
answer our many questions. The hotels were of good standard- especially Hotel
Sigiriya with its stunning location. Highlights for me were the elephant
safari, climbing Sigiriya Rock and the cycling morning and local lunch (
delicious). It was a busy trip but there was time for relaxing by the pool
too.
The whole trip was very well organised. I am grateful to our guide who helped
make this trip such a fantastic one. I will definitely use Exodus again!
Seeing elephants in the wild and the stunning scenery from Sigiriya Rock.

Dileepa was fantastic- enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. He answered
questions in depth and I have learnt alot about Sri lanka. He was kind,
patient and understood the needs of the group. He was sociable and had great
communication skills ( superb english). He was very well organised, and knew
exactly the best times to go to places.

Take trainers and or walking style shoes for some activities. A lightweight
day rucksack would be useful.

This was our first visit to Sri Lanka and the itinery for this tour enabled
us to travel to many area of the island and to experience a diverse range of
cultures.
Our unexpected and unscheduled visit to Kandy to see the Perahera festival.

Our group leader, Dileepa, was friendly, approachable and extremely
knowledgeable with excellent spoken English.

Highly recommend Exodus

The discover Sri Lanka trip offers a great mix of learning, seeing and
experiencing what Sri Lanka has to offer, mixed ample opportunities to simply
relax by the pool trying to decide what mixer to have with your large glass
of Arrack
I really enjoyed visiting Lions Rock, which after getting your breath back
after climbing all the stairs offers wonderful views of the surrounding area,
as well as an insight to Sri Lanka history.

I also enjoy the unscheduled visit to Little Adams peak, after rain meant
that Hortons plain was not viable, this was a great alternative and offered
beautiful views of Sri Lanka

Roshan, was great, he gave a very good in depth introductory talk on the
first day and provided us with an excellent history lesson of Sri Lanka, as
well as being very knowledgeable in terms of the fauna and flora of the
various regions.

There is very little street food or dining out culture in Sri Lanka with the
exception of Kandy and less so Nuwara Eliya, therefore you will be eating the
vast majority of your meals in hotels, with buffets being the easiest choice
but it does make it more expensive. A la Carter is an option at most places
but service tends to be slow and therefore often requires pre-ordering.

Due to the fact that so many meals are eaten at the hotels, to make things
easier I would have included these the trip price.

I think that during the introduction clients and guide should set up a
WhatsApp’s group, one for the sharing of info, but also to help with the
running of the trip, I.e. start times after free days extra or arrange
numbers for optional extras

An excellent holiday with so much to see and do.
There were many inspitational moments but if I had to select one it would be
seeing the procession in Kandy. Excellently arranged by our guide even to
sorting our evening meaL. The fire dancers and highly decorated elephants
were a sight to behold. The drommers and dancers added to the occasion.I will
never forget it.

Roshan was superb. He was highly skilled in getting the group to see as much
as possible of his country. He was also quite relaxed letting us have enough
time to see the sights e.g. around the temples and the statues of the Buddha.
His instructions were always clear and explanatory. But most of all he was
fun! An absolute brilliant guide.

Take clothes to cover up but only needed for temples. But dress respectfully
at other times.
