Exodus Travels

View Profile

It is all about adventure. That is what Exodus was founded upon and what the company is still all about. Discovering countries, cultures, environments, cities, mountain ranges, deserts, coasts and jungles; exploring this amazing planet we all live on.

At Exodus, we know what makes you tick when it comes to holidays. It’s a desire shared by so many others. A yearning to visit new places and come home with a real sense of what they’re all about. This means delving into local traditions, cultures, cuisine, lifestyles – anything that contributes to its unique identity. At the same time, we always remember that we are only guests. So we travel courteously and respectfully, in smaller groups to minimise our impact, to ensure that every Exodus holiday is a beneficial experience for everyone involved.

This is a philosophy we take with us around the world, helping you reach some incredible destinations on 500 itineraries across over 90 separate countries. We also strive to provide as much flexibility and choice as we possibly can, making it simple for you to experience a very different holiday.

Exodus started life on 4 February 1974 when two friends got together to provide an overland truck to travel to the Minaret of Jam, deep in the heart of the Hindu Kush, the most inaccessible of the world’s great monuments.

All our office staff have a passion for travel and adventure, and between us we’ve notched up experience that spans 171 different countries. That’s not all. In their former lives, our team members have been professional archaeologists, wildlife guides, overland drivers, mountain leaders, diving and ski specialists and mountain bike gurus – so no-one is better placed to create tours that appeal to a wide range of specialist interests.

Their care in putting all the details in place really shines through too. Extensive planning, research, fact-finding and training are a sign of our commitment to providing a holiday where your enjoyment, value for money and safety come first. It’s a telling reason why we remain one of the leading worldwide adventure tour companies. It is no exaggeration to say that our tour leaders can make a world of difference to the enjoyment of your holiday – so we choose them carefully. The result is that, in 2013, 93% of our clients stated that their leader exceeded their expectations. Where possible, we train and employ local leaders because they can provide invaluable insights that enrich the trip. What’s more, this investment in local staff really helps us benefit both them and their community.

Why we love this operator
With a wide range of trip styles, Exodus caters to every type of traveler out there- even those with specific interests from cycling to winter hiking.
What they’re known for
Global trips to a wide array of destinations with a focus on themed adventures, exciting physical activities and learning about local cultures.

Accommodation

During this premium adventure cruise, you will spend 10 nights on the Coral Adventurer, Coral Discoverer or Coral Geographer. Coral Adventurer Launched in April 2019, Coral Adventurer is a 99-passenger ship built to take you closer to unspoiled vistas in comfort, style and safety. When Coral Expeditions set out to build the Adventurer, they wanted a ship that would last decades. Their search to build for quality and technology took them to shipbuilders in Norway who have a long history of constructing durable ships for the harsh North Sea. Coral Expeditions also looked deep inside to capture the requirements of their guests, crew and the areas they sail. The result is a happy marriage of modern shipbuilding technology and cruising Australian style. Her tender vessel, Xplorer, features a hydraulic lowering system and can seat all 72 passengers for excursions to beaches and rivers. Coral Discoverer is equipped with the latest technology active stabilisers to ensure comfortable cruising in open waters and is fitted with modern safety and navigation equipment and wireless internet facilities. Built to international SOLAS standards and with one aim in mind: to create the ultimate small-ship cruising experience. It’s also Australian flagged and staffed entirely by an Australian and New Zealand crew. In 2016, a significant upgrade and refresh of the facilities has brought the amenities to an even higher level. The Sun Deck, home to the circular Explorer Bar, has become a new social space and the hub of on-board community living. Guest accommodation also received a substantial upgrade with the addition of six Bridge Deck Balcony Staterooms providing coveted inside-outside living quarters. All other Stateroom grades also received a full upgrade with updated bathroom fixtures, soft furnishings and artwork providing an even more comfortable stay. When designing their next generation of ships, Coral Expeditions stubbornly resisted the idea of large and glitzy so they can remain small enough to go to untouched places, focusing on bringing small numbers of like-minded guests closer to nature and cultures with personal attention and professional Australian service. The shallow draught and manoeuvrability of the ship allow it to go where larger vessels cannot. The 99-passenger ship features the same state-of-the-art specifications and expedition features as Coral Adventurer; however, due to popular demand, it has an increased number of six Bridge Deck Suites with horizon bathtubs. Bridge Deck Balcony Suite There are six spacious and elegant suites on the Coral Geographer They are equipped with a lounge area, minibar and personal coffee machine They have special junior king-size beds A 38sqft (3.5sqm) private balcony has an outdoor daybed and lounge chair for two The unique outside-facing bathroom with floor-to-ceiling windows is the feature of the suites, with an infinity bathtub with sky views The complimentary minibar is replenished daily Bridge Deck Balcony Suites are 404sqft (37.5sqm) Explorer Deck Balcony Stateroom Explorer Deck staterooms are comfortably furnished with a junior king-size bed, which can be separated into two singles A wardrobe, desk and armchair are included The compact ensuite has a toilet, shower and ample storage Your private balcony has seating for two from which to view the passing coastal vistas These staterooms are on the Explorer deck Explorer Deck Balcony Staterooms are 230sqft (21.4sqm) Promenade Deck Stateroom Promenade Deck Staterooms are below the Explorer deck and furnished with a junior king-size bed, which can be separated into two singles A wardrobe, desk and armchair are included The compact en suite has a toilet, shower and ample storage A large picture window gives you wide views of the world outside Promenade Deck Staterooms are 183sqft (17sqm) Coral Deck Stateroom Coral Deck Staterooms are below the Promenade Deck and are identically furnished with a junior king-size bed, which can be separated into two singles A wardrobe, desk and armchair are included The compact en suite has a toilet, shower and ample storage A porthole window gives you views of the world outside Coral Deck Staterooms are 183sqft (17sqm) Specific cabin types can be booked for sole use (subject to availability). Please note that insurance premiums and amendments charges are not refundable in any circumstances.

Once you have put down a deposit for a tour, you are unable to cancel and re-book within a promotional period and we reserve the right to amend the pricing on any new booking you make within that time.
