Style Style Small Group Tour Small groups are usually defined as between 10 and 24 travelers, often less. If you're the kind of person who enjoys more intimate experiences and personal service this is a good choice. All else being equal you will pay a premium for this style vs a larger group tour.
Private Guided Private tours give you the undivided attention of a guide, and often involve special access to sites and unique experiences not available to larger groups. This is a great option for families, couples, and small friend groups. Expect to pay a bit more for the extra service.
Self Guided Tour A travel company plans your itinerary and arranges all the logistics including lodging, local activities, and transportantion. You have the flexibility of a solo trip while still getting the convience and time savings of expert planning. Get 90% of the benefits of a tour, without a guide.
Group Tour Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.
River Cruise These vessels are smaller than most ocean cruisers, limiting which amenties are available. Passenger counts can vary. One of the biggest advantages of a river cruise is the ability to dock at smaller ports and local villages.
Small Ship Cruise Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.
Large Ship Cruise This is the "floating city" experience, with multiple ways to enjoy your vacation aboard the ship as much as on land. Ships are multiple floors, provide several activities, culinary, and shopping options. They often make fewer stops and have less time available for shore excursions.
Retreats Similar to a self guided tour but staying in one location only with activities and day outings included as a part of the stay.

Our experience with Nancy Aiello Tours was excellent - from the pre-booking through the actual tours. I booked the tours because it was my family's first visit to Rome and I wanted to ensure that they had an understanding of the history and saw the highlights. My sister and I have been to Rome several times (walking with a guide book, taking big bus tours for a day, etc) but we "saw" so much more on our tours with your guides. I have already recommended you to a colleague who will be in Rome with his family in November. I had googled "what to do with kids in Rome" and found a mommy travel blog that recommended your agency, so I took a look at your website and decided to ask some questions (less than 2 weeks before our arrival in Rome). We were fortunate enough to book 2 different tours. Chris and Cathy W. - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Awesome!!! We absolutely loved our tour of ancient Rome. Our guide was fun, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. This experience was highlight of our stay in Rome. My only regret is that we left in a bit of a hurry - my husband's luggage was lost, he was wearing same clothes from travel & uncomfortably hot & anxious to replenish wardrobe - thus, I neglected to tip our guide. I feel terrible as he was so good with our family & kids have been talking about what they learned. If we had more time in the city, I would have arranged for another guided tour of St. Peter's. Please excuse tardy review, my internet connection has not been dependable during the trip. We return to Rome tomorrow for a night before returning to Chicago with wonderful memories. Best regards, Kathleen M. – Chicago, USA

Our knowledgeable advisor Ann was very responsive to our needs, interest and requests for what we were looking for in our trip to Italy. Having never been overseas before, the services provided by Nancy Aiello Tours were essential to us having such a successful trip. The stresses of where to go, what to do and how to get there were all taken away. All we had to do was show up and enjoy the trip. There were literally no hiccups and the experience was tenfold what it would have been if we had attempted it on our own. Thanks to Nancy Aiello Tours and especially Ann, a true caring soul and expert. Joanne P. New York USA

Thank you Silvia and the team! Although the very last minute request you planned an ideal first visit to Italy for us. You made sure to include the most important highlights of Venice, Florence, Tuscany and Rome, but we also enjoyed some authentic experiences like the cooking class in Florence and the Chianti wine expedition. The private tours were just perfect with the right balance of guided visit and free time. All of our guides were professional and patient - with lots of heart. Accommodations were really nice and centrally located. Our transfers were on time and the drivers were extremely professional. Extremely professional and helpful, I could not recommend Nancy Aiello Tours enough. Laura T. South Carolina USA

Enrico, Senior Travel Specialist with Nancy Aiello Tours did a superb job designing our 10-day journey to Italy. He designed an itinerary that met our goals and included comfortable accommodations, superb local guides, and suggestions of local highlights and restaurants to visit on our own. Enrico also provided us with carefully thought-out arrangements for connecting between cities, taking into account that we were travelling with two teens. Thank you. Melanie G. London, UK

We had an amazing trip to Italy organized and executed by the Aiello team. We started our adventure in Venice, then made our way through the wine countryside (Chianti and Brunello), and on to Florence, Rome and Naples and finished off on the Amalfi Coast. We have been to Italy, as well as to several other countries in Europe over the years but this trip was so well organized, and enabled us to really soak in all that Italy has to offer. Thank you so much! Paul & Mia San Francisco USA
