Gate 1 Travel

We had a wonderful trip to Mexico. We have taken about 10 Gate 1 tours and liked them all. Our tour manager, Douglas, made this trip special. He is knowledgeable and careful with details to make sure that all of us were pleased. He has a great personality and went out of his way to get to know all of us on the tour, providing us with little extras to make us feel welcome and valued. I can't say enough to praise Douglas. He is a real asset to Gate 1, which he praises regularly, telling us about his training and how Gate 1 goes to great lengths to make sure the meals and accommodations are the best possible. I want to mention Panchito, our bus driver, also. He is a cheerful person and a highly skilled bus driver. We were all impressed by how he was able to maneuver the bus in tight quarters and keep us all safe.

The trip was great. Very impressive of the boat ride at Marina San Carlos, and the train ride from El Fuerte to Posada Barrancas and the two day visit at the Copper Canyon. I learned a lot of Tarahumaras people and their community. The Mexican food was very tasty. It was a very good trip arrangement. Thanks again to Gate 1 for providing high quality, and affordable trips. I really enjoyed it.

It was so much fun! We learned a lot about music and enjoyed the cities we visited. Our tour guide and bus driver were excellent. Nice people on the tour. Will definitely book another tour with Gate 1!

In one word, I will say, “AWESOME “ Words cannot describe the places we’ve been to, e.g., Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, etc. Even a professional photographer can’t capture the beauty of the sites. You just have to enjoy them while you’re there. Camaraderie between the group was great— seemed like we’ve known each other for a while. Accommodations were very nice. Kudos for both Muriel (Tour Guide) and the driver — for a “Job Well Done.” Hope to have the same experience again, the next time around with Gate 1.

The trip was wonderful. We were so fortunate to have Raul, the perfect guide! He obviously was so pleased to know we were enjoying ourselves, and we could totally depend on him to look after us. Very sincere, so knowledgeable. I’ve been to Mexico many times, but this was the first time I experienced the range of socioeconomic citizens and learned so much about the history of the country.

Our trip was wonderful and our tour guide, Ashley, was the absolute best!! We've been on many tours, not only with Gate 1, and Ashley was the best tour director we've ever encountered. Competent, personable, friendly, courteous, organized, helpful, and knowledgeable. She was always willing to go the extra mile for each of us. I will actually miss her very much!! She made each one of us feel extremely important. Thank you, Ashley, and thank you, Gate 1!! We'll be back! :)

We absolutely loved this tour and can’t believe the incredible value we received! Everything was top notch! Maria, our tour guide was knowledgeable, caring and professional. We couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide if we tried! She had a wealth of historical knowledge, was charming and downright fun! She helped us get a feel for her country and gave us valuable tips along the way. She is a definite asset to Gate 1 in Greece! The hotels in all cities were well located, highly rated, comfortable, charming and welcoming. We especially loved the gorgeous Hotel Apollonia in Delphi. We were amazed at the beauty of the town and the gorgeous view from the balconies. Just to look out at the mountains gave us a magical feeling! The Hotel Europa Olympia was also beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. We loved our stay in that location, too. The Athenian Callirhoe was in a terrific location, their staff was friendly, the rooms were extremely clean and we found it a great place to stay while in Athens, not to mention the rooftop restaurant looking out at the Acropolis that was especially lovely in the evening! We completely fell in love with Greece and found the itinerary chock full of interesting sights and information. We saw so much of Greece and especially loved the cooking class and dancing lessons! This was a last minute addition to our tour and this activity really helped to make our group bond, laugh and feel happy. The best part was that this day was also my birthday and this activity made my day so very special!!! I was even serenaded with “Happy Birthday” and a cake by the group! We will definitely be telling more of our friends about Gate 1. We rave about your company everywhere we go! This was our 10th tour and won’t be our last!!!

Our trip was really great. The tour Guide Maria was fantastic and exceptionally good,with her knowledge and experience. I was astonished at the high level of service Provided. Picking up bags, clear directions every day. The tour was well organized and gave us what we were looking for regarding the history and beauty of Greece. We also had plenty of opportunity to get to know and enjoy with our fellow travelers.

It was a great trip! The guide, Yainni, was fantastic and the driver had nerves of steel! I do not plan to drive myself in Athens anytime soon. I was astonished at the high level of service provided...picking up bags, clear directions every day, and making sure we were escorted to the airport. Those are tiny examples, but they meant a lot.

The entire trip was wonderful. The islands were fabulous, the weather couldn't have been better, and every part of the trip Gate 1 was involved in was flawless. The contact at the airports, the transfers, the hotels and the excursions were all wonderful! Rest assured, we will definitely be using Gate 1 Travel again in the future.

We had a wonderful time. Our tour manager, Yainni, was terrific. He made the trip informative and fun. The hotels were great and we loved the food. The surprise cooking and dancing lesdon was so much fun. Thanks for another ( my 14th) awesome Gate 1 trip.

Wonderful, just wonderful; will use Gate 1 again. Lovely lady met us at the airport both ways, and the guide on the ship was lovely too. Really enjoyed the set up on board with tours in the AM and free time in the afternoon. Food and entertainment on board were great.

I had a fantastic time. Our tour director , on the land tour, Militska, was wonderful. She could relate historical facts intertwined with mythological fascinations. I always marveled at how upbeat she was every day. She cared about our safety, and helped us avoid overcrowded areas. I definitely would tour with her again. She also had a great sense of humor. The short trip to Kusadaki was fascinating and interested me in the Turkish population. The food we ate was superb both at tour sites and on the ship. I would recommend Gate 1 to others..

Our trip was really great. We enjoyed the Gate 1 customer experience for the first time and were impressed by the way the trip was planned. Most importantly, Demetra our tour guide was exceptionally good. With her knowledge and professionalism, she made our vacation quite memorable. She is the best travel guide we have had so far.
