Style
Small Group Tour Small groups are usually defined as between 10 and 24 travelers, often less. If you're the kind of person who enjoys more intimate experiences and personal service this is a good choice. All else being equal you will pay a premium for this style vs a larger group tour.
Private Guided Private tours give you the undivided attention of a guide, and often involve special access to sites and unique experiences not available to larger groups. This is a great option for families, couples, and small friend groups. Expect to pay a bit more for the extra service.
Self Guided Tour A travel company plans your itinerary and arranges all the logistics including lodging, local activities, and transportantion. You have the flexibility of a solo trip while still getting the convience and time savings of expert planning. Get 90% of the benefits of a tour, without a guide.
Group Tour Groups are between 25-60 people, typically ~30-40. Usually there will be many opportunities to split off and enjoy meals and excursions in smaller groups. This is the most economical way to travel, saving up to 40% versus booking the same itinerary yourself.
River Cruise These vessels are smaller than most ocean cruisers, limiting which amenties are available. Passenger counts can vary. One of the biggest advantages of a river cruise is the ability to dock at smaller ports and local villages.
Small Ship Cruise Small ship cruises usually have a max passenger count of 500. The primary purpose of these trips is to spend time off the vessel in local ports (e.g. Mediterranean) or experiencing nature (e.g Galapagos or Antarctica). Cabins can vary from budget to luxury.
Large Ship Cruise This is the "floating city" experience, with multiple ways to enjoy your vacation aboard the ship as much as on land. Ships are multiple floors, provide several activities, culinary, and shopping options. They often make fewer stops and have less time available for shore excursions.
Retreats Similar to a self guided tour but staying in one location only with activities and day outings included as a part of the stay.

- Day 1 – Arrive Kuala Lumpur
- Arrive Kuala Lumpur International Airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel. Check in & Unwind. Day 2 – In Kuala Lumpur
- Kuala Lumpur History and Heritage Tour (3 hours)9.00 AM – Kuala Lumpur is rich with its history on how it developed from a small tin-mining settlement to a modern skyscrapers city. The city is further furnished by its wonderful architecture, prominent landmarks and unique building. You will be amazed to see the blend of Oriental and colonial part of the city intertwine with interesting Moorish, Mughal-Tudor and Islamic building.
- Our first visit is to Istana Negara, it is the official residence of the Agong. The sprawling palace was built was completed in 2011. Ten minutes away is the National Monument that was erected in honor of the fallen heroes during World War II.
- The Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia houses thousands of artefacts and you will get to know more about the Islamic civilisation in this region.
- On the way to the Independence Square, we will pass by the National Mosque and Kuala Lumpur Old Railway Station. Set in front of the historic Sultan Abdul Samad Building, here it is the Union Jack flag was lowered on August 31, 1957.
- Sunset @ Twin Towers with dinner (4 hours)6.00 PM – As the sun starts to go down, we will be visiting the most iconic landmark in Kuala Lumpur, the Petronas Twin Towers is the most photographed landmark in Malaysia. Soaring to a height of 451.9 meters, the 88 storey twin towers structure is KL’s crown jewel. It is the world’s tallest twin towers. The 45-minutes guided tour allows you to enjoy the panoramic and aerial views of magnificent pink-tinged sunset and slowly transitioning to the night scene of Kuala Lumpur. Enjoy an authentic Malay dining experience in an award-winning restaurant. The Malay cuisine known for its spicy and aromatic, combining the rich tastes of the many herbs and spices commonly found in Southeast Asia.

- Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Day 3 – Kuala Lumpur – Malacca- Kuala Lumpur
- Full Day Excursion to Malacca with lunchAn excursion to the historical city of Malacca, a fascinating blend of oriental and occidental ideas. Tour begins with a visit to St Peter’s Church (1710) -the oldest Christian Church still in use in Malaysia. We then drive past the largest seventeenth century Chinese cemetery outside China, located at Bukit China or Chinese Hill. Stopping at the Foothill to view Sultan’s wall. Next, we proceeds to ‘Porta de Santiago’ and the ruins of St Paul’s Church, lined by seventeenth century Dutch tombstones. Next is ‘Red Square’, a salmon pink Dutch administrative building which today houses the Melaka Museum and other government offices. We will visit Christchurch before lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we visit the Abode of the Green Merciful Temple Clouds or the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple, the only temple where you can find three major doctrines of local Chinese belief under one roof; Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. Take a stroll along Melaka’s Jonker Street, which ends by the banks of the Malacca river.
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Day 4 – Kuala Lumpur – Cameron Highlands (4 hrs)
- Travel to Cameron Highlands via the highway with a rest stop at Tapah. This is the town leading to Cameron Highlands and you will get to see the local fruits including the King of Fruits – Durian if in season.
- On the way up to the mountain resort, we will stop at a small Aborigine village and a teahouse. Continue to drive up the road passing through Brinchang and finally the main town – Tanah Rata. Settle in your hotel and enjoy the temperate climate & scenery of Cameron Highlands.
- Meals: Breakfast Day 5 – In Cameron Highlands
- Half day visit to Rose Valley. Followed by a visit to the Sungai Palas Tea Plantation for tea. Afternoon free at leisure (Note : Tea factory is closed on Mondays)
- Meals: Breakfast Day 6 – Cameron Highlands – Penang (7 hrs)
- Depart Cameron Highlands via the Simpang Pulai Highway towards Ipoh.Before reaching Penang, we will stop at the famous Cave Temple & the Ubudiah Mosque – a magnificent building with golden dome – and the former palace of the Sultan of Perak with its intricate woodcarvings. Cross into Penang and check into hotel.
- Meals: Breakfast Day 7 – In Penang
- Visit Batik Factory to learn how local making the famous Malaysian Batik, you will also get the opportunity to make and create your own batik to bring back home. Next proceed for visit the Butterfly/Dragonfly Farm – one of the world’s largest with over 300 species of tropical butterflies. Set off to visit the Tropical Spice Garden – located in an eight-acre valley fronting the shores of Teluk Bahang. The Garden showcases a living collection of more than 500 varieties of local and imported flora from Malaysia and around the world, with particular emphasis on tropical herbs and spices. There are also wild animals, birds and insects set amongst lush conservation area .A visit to the Gift Shop is definitely recommended as they have an impressive selection of herbs and spices. Individually sourced and imported from the best point of origin – cinnamon sticks and black cardamoms from Sri Lanka, vanilla pods from Bali and cloves and nutmeg from Penang – the spices are neatly packed and sealed, ideal to purchase and take home for future use. Return to hotel

- Free till transfer to the airport for your onward departure flight

- Day 1 – Arrive Vientiane
- Arrive in the capital this morning, where you are welcomed and escorted to your hotel. Visit the sights of this small city on the Mekong River, including Wat Sisaket with its thousands of miniature Buddha statues, Wat Prakeo (the original home of the Emerald Buddha), Wat Simulang, the Patousai, and the striking That Luang monument (the national symbol). (D) Day 2 – Vientiane
- After breakfast visit the Cultural park, Friendship Bridge and Buddha Park, 15 miles South of Vientiane. Then visit the colorful market. Rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and pursue independent activities. (BL) Day 3 – Vientiane / Luang Prabang
- Take a short flight to the enchanting former royal capital, Luang Prabang. This afternoon, visit the former Royal Palace, now home to the National Museum. Other sights include Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sen, Wat Visun and a climb to the summit of Mount Phousi where you are greeted by a panoramic view of the town and the surrounding countryside. (BL) Day 4 – Mekong River Excursion
- Full-day boat trip on the mighty Mekong River to visit the Pak Ou Caves, housing thousands of gilded and wooden Buddha statues of varying sizes. After a picnic lunch on the banks of the Nam Ou River, visit the riverside village of Ban Phanom, where rice wine is locally distilled and traditional Laotian textiles are woven on ancient wooden looms. (BL) Day 5 – Luang Prabang / Depart Laos
