Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Santiago.
Arrival in Santiago this morning and transfer to your hotel.
Fly up to the Atacama Desert today and settle in to your hotel in the small desert town of San Pedro de Atacama. The afternoon is at leisure to relax at your hotel and explore the town.
A morning visit to the Salar de Atacama and Toconao. This afternoon visit the stunning Valley of the Moon and watch the sunset over the sand dunes.
An early morning visit to El Tatio Geysers for sunrise when they are most impressive, following with a relaxing dip at the Puritama hot springs. Afternoon at leisure.
Today you are collected by your Bolivian guide and driver to begin your overland journey into the remote southwestern corner of Bolivia. Explore Laguna Verde and Colorado, with impressive views of the Licancabur volcano.
Traverse the surreal high Andean plains today, passing the famous Hedionda Lagoon and Stone Tree.
Today will be one of the most impressive days of the journey as you approach and cross the vast white Salar de Uyuni, a fantastic place for photography!
Fly from Uyuni to Cuzco with a change of planes in La Paz. Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your hotel.
A half day guided tour of the colonial centre of historical Cuzco, also visiting some of the Inca ruins near to the city.
Travel into the Sacred Valley of the Incas to explore colourful markets and explore Inca ruins before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes, the small town at the foot of Machu Picchu.
Enjoy a guided tour of Machu Picchu before returning to your overnight hotel.
Free time to visit Machu Picchu again before returning to Cuzco by train for the night.
Fly back to Lima and connect here with the onward return international flights.
Arrive home today to complete your journey.
