This 8 day trip runs from Sarria to the Cathedral of Santiago through fairy tale like forests, quaint Galician villages, past rivers, medieval towns and open green countryside. It is the perfect option for novice Camino walkers as it is the best signposted route and has a great range of services (cafes, restaurants etc). It is also recommended for those looking to meet other pilgrims and enjoy the social aspect of the Camino. Daily distances are an average of 23km. Alongside the sense of achievement and numerous chances to taste the local Galician food, this walking trip also allows you to qualify for the pilgrim’s certificate of completion; the Compostela.
