Gate 1 Travel

Great trip! Russia was more than expected. Beautiful and clean (no litter or graffiti at all anywhere). People were warm and very friendly as well. We would recommend the trip to anyone who is interested in a wonderful trip and learning more about Russia. Also, our trip manager Elena was fabulous, maybe the best we have ever had on a Gate 1 trip.

The river cruise was absolutely perfect. The staff was so accommodating from the minute we landed in Budapest until we left Munich. Arnon and Karol were so attentive to our needs from day 1 when we arrived at the ship. They couldn't do enough to make our trip a memorable one. The entire staff was always willing to attend to our needs. Day tours and special events ran very smoothly with the color coded tickets and boarding passes. The weather was rainy but following each day tour the staff was waiting for us at the ship with smiles, hot towels and warm drinks. Great personal touch continually. The waiters in the restaurant were always pleasant and accommodating. The bartenders always had a smile. The DJ was fantastic as we danced and sang the nights away. This is the third time we traveled with Gate 1 and will be planning more trips in the future, inviting some of our other friends This company certainly dots every I and crosses every t. Thank you to Gate 1 for helping us make such fabulous memories.

Tracey and I had a wonderful trip, we're so glad we went to China, such a fascinating country. From beginning to end logistics was made effortless by our wonderful tour guide Frank! Didn’t have to think about handling of any luggage throughout, everything was all taken care of as well as boarding passes for each internal flight. Fantastic. This was our 2nd trip with Gate 1 and would definitely consider another- price point- value for money- excellent.

My trip was absolutely wonderful! This was my first, but hopefully not last river cruise. Can't begin to tell you how wonderful it was and the staff on the Monarch Duchess was. From my first step toward the ship to my last step off the ship, someone was always there to greet me and ask if anything can be done for me. My compliance to everyone, for the dishwashers to the captain, thank you so much!

It was outstanding thanks to the great people that work for Gate 1. I like to mention the great waiter Ivan, the activities director Kristina and everyone that was in charge. They all made our trip remarkable. Thank you, looking forward to my next trip to Greece, and next year to Vietnam!

The most wonderful “WOW” experience of my life. The China trip exceeded beyond our expectations. Our tour manager, Jason, other tour guides especially Jenny. Our drivers, hotel, restaurant and cruise staff were all excellent. They made our stay very special that I felt sad saying goodbye to them. From the historical places, the pandas, the flowers, the lights, food, music, cultural presentation, people’s interaction in the park...doing Tae Chi, singing, dancing etc. all these indeed were the total China experience that satisfy the basic human senses: sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing. Jason indeed made this trip personalized, we were all touched when he and Cristina played the music in the bus on our last night at Shanghai “Leaving on a jet plane” and we all sung. I am so glad I was with this group!!! I have to commend all the people who coordinated this trip. Gate 1 Travel indeed is so fortunate to have Jason as their China’s tour manager, he does not only do his job he goes beyond what is expected of him in taking care of us and how he values his job with Gate 1!!! I have been sharing stories and experiences with my family, office mates and friends inspiring them to travel with Gate 1!!! Keep up the good work!! MORE OF THE WORLD FOR LESS!!!

Egypt was truly amazing - I am so glad that Gate 1 has started the tours again there. And so is Egypt! We were warmly welcomed everywhere we went. You really do have to be there to appreciate the scale of the temples and pyramids and the contrast of the Nile and the desert. Already looking for my next adventure.

No words can describe the happiness we experienced on this Egypt trip!

It was fantastic! Our guide Hassam was very knowledgeable and kept our large group on track. The hotels were wonderful. The sights were incredible and we felt very safe.

OMG the trip was spectacular. Our tour guide, Mohammand, was fantastic. The entire trip was well orchestrated and I don't have any complaints. Can't wait to do another trip with you guys.

We had an amazing trip. We speak very highly of Gate 1 Travel and the lengths the company went to to ensure we got maximum time on the boat while the water levels were so low. We appreciated it.

Really interesting and eye opening. I found some of the preconceived notions I had about China were baseless and there were other things I had no idea about. I feel like I have a deeper understanding about life there, what they pride themselves in, and how they’re collectively working towards the future. Our tour manager Jason Yin was fantastic and did an amazing job at accommodating to individual needs and being as inclusive as possible. I look forward to doing it again in a few years to see how much has changed city-wise and culturally.

It was a wonderful trip and we have absolutely no complaints, only praise ... Our tour director (Adriene) was unbelievably attentive and also upbeat even at the most challenging times, and Activity Cooridinator (Daniele) always had something going for us to look forward to. The dining room staff, reception staff, and cabin staff were equally attentive. The food was excellent and there was always plenty to choose from. The small size of the boat allowed us to meet and get to know many great people that we plan on keeping in contact with. Every day was extremely well-organized and our time at each stop was utilized to the max. We will definitely recommend this cruise to others.

We had a wonderful time! Everything was so organized and there was so much to do. This was our first time on this type of cruise and I would highly recommend it, especially for people who do not like crowded ships! The staff on board were wonderful and so accommodating! All of the tour guides were professional and so knowledgeable! Our cruise tour director, Soma, was wonderful and so organized! The crew members were all great!
