- BURMA - INLE LAKE: The tranquil Inle Lake is located in Burma's Shan State, and is home unique fish species and prolific bird life. Many of the communities who live in villages surrounding the lake are from Burma's various ethnic minority groups, such as the Danu and Bamar people. Enjoy a boat ride on the lake, visit nearby monasteries, and look for the distinct woven bags and silk fabrics made in the area.
- BURMA - IRRAWADDY RIVER: Embark on a boat ride on one of the country's most significant waterways, the Irrawaddy River. Stop at rural villages, local pagodas and to see intricate carvings at Kyauk Gu U Min. The river is home to the endangered Irrawaddy dolphin, who are under threat from dam construction. The river eventually flows into the Andaman Sea via the Irrawaddy Delta.
- BURMA - LOCAL MARKETS: Experience Burma's local life, colorful produce and fantastic array of local handicrafts in its numerous fascinating markets. Near Inle Lake, frequent a local market where many diverse ethnic minority groups gather, and in Yangon and Mandalay, search for exquisite examples of Burmese lacquerware, fabrics and other eye-catching merchandise. Enjoy interacting with Burma's warm, friendly people as you peruse their wares.
- BURMA - SAGAING HILL: Sagaing Hill, located outside Mandalay, is an important religious center. It is home to numerous pagodas and monasteries amongst its hills, and is a highly picturesque and spiritual place to explore. The site is located on the banks of the Irrawaddy River, with the buildings spread amongst lush, tropical foliage. Visit a local nunnery, and explore some of the 600 whitewashed pagodas and monasteries.
- BURMA - SHWEDAGON PAGODA: Burma's striking Shwedagon Pagoda has a sparkling golden stupa which can be seen from all over Yangon. It is considered one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Burma. It contains various ancient relics, and you can witness devout locals going about various rituals on their visit. All visitors should remove their shoes before the first step at any of the entrances.
- BURMA - HILLTRIBE EXPERIENCE: Embark on a trek beyond the shores of Inle Lake to visit various hilltribe villages, home to Burma's numerous ethnic minority groups including the Intha and Pa-O people. You can also take in a Shan cooking school, or pay a visit to a local orphanage. Learn more about the different cultures that make Burma home, and gain insights into their traditions and way of life.

Days 1-2: Yangon (Rangoon)
Accommodation: Sedona Hotel Yangon
On arrival in Yangon transfer to your hotel for free time before joining your tour leader and traveling companions for a welcome drink. A walking tour of the city reveals the majestic British-colonial architecture and the Sule Pagoda. Wander through the Indian Quarter for a look at local life, then watch the sun sink behind the Shwedagon Pagoda - the golden spire that dominates the city's skyline.
Days 3-4: Mandalay
Accommodation: Mandalay City Hotel
Take an early morning flight to Mandalay. Tour the city in the afternoon, visiting places such as the Royal Palace and ShweNandawKyuang. At Kuthodaw Pagoda, marvel at the 'World's Largest Book', over 700 stone slabs inscribed with Buddhist teachings. Visit a lively Jade market and wander along a 200-year-old teak bridge, spanning over two kilometers. At Sagaing Hill, see hundreds of white-washed pagodas. With over 3,000 monks and nuns, this is widely regarded as the religious center of Burma. Here a trip to a local nunnery to share lunch with the nuns is a highlight for many travelers.
Days 5-6: Bagan
Accommodation: Thazin Garden
Spend a day on the Irrawaddy River as you travel to Bagan by boat. The city is famous for plains filled with literally thousands of beautiful temples. A full day of exploring Bagan includes ShwezigonPagoda and the famous Ananda Temple before visiting Minnathu Village for an insight into local life. See the imposing 12th century DhammayazikaPaya, discover the local handicraft of wood carving and lacquer ware at a workshop, and visit a local school. End the day with a sunset view of Bagan from atop a beautiful terraced pagoda.
Days 7-8: Inle Lake
Accommodation: Inle Resort
Your morning flight brings you to Heho. Explore the Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery and enjoy some free time, before your cruise on Inle Lake. Discover the fascinating floating gardens, which rise and fall with the tides to avoid flooding and PhaungDawOo Pagoda, the lake's main sanctuary. Explore a cheroot factory, where typical Burmese cigars are made by hand. Continue your exploration of Inle Lake with a visit to the morning market, where you can meet local hilltribe people who gather from the surrounding area and explore a local village and beautiful ruined ancient stupas.
Days 9-10: Yangon (Rangoon)
Accommodation: Sedona Hotel Yangon
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Transfer to your hotel on arrival and enjoy free time in the city before attending a farewell dinner. On your last day, transfer to the airport.
Note:
The cruise to Bagan on day 5 is subject to cancellation if river conditions are unfavorable. In the event that this cruise is cancelled, transport to Bagan will be by flight. The school visit on day 6 is not available during school vacations from 20 February to 31 May; 6, 13, 21, 26 to 30 October and 25 December to 4 January.

All cancellations must be received in writing. No refunds will be made for unused services, regardless of the reason once travel has commenced. Cancellations will be subject to the following cancellation fees applied per person, per confirmed booking:
- cancellations made more than 65 days before the scheduled date of first service provided by us - the full deposit of US$ 600;
- cancellations made between 50-65 days before the scheduled date of first service provided by us - a cancellation fee of 25% of the travel arrangements and booking fee or US$ 600 (whichever is the greater) will be payable;
- cancellations made between 35-49 days before the scheduled date of first service provided by us - a cancellation fee of 50% of the travel arrangements and booking fee or US$ 600 (whichever is the greater); and
- cancellations made within 35 days of the scheduled date of first service provided by us - 100% of the travel arrangement and booking fee.
- Cancellation of air, cruising and rail arrangements will be subject to fees charged in accordance with the type of airfare, cruise or rail tariff regulations.
