Day 1 : International outbound flight

Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Adelaide.

On-board your international outbound flight to Adelaide.

Day 3 : Adelaide

On arrival in Adelaide you will be met and have a private transfer to your accommodation in the city. Spend the rest of your day at leisure.

Day 4 : Adelaide

Enjoy a day around Adelaide. Explore the Central Market and make your way to the beach suburb of Glenelg for a late afternoon seafront walk.

Day 6 : Barossa Valley

Spend a day around the Barossa Valley. You can visit some of the local wineries at your own pace or join a local guided tour.

Day 7 : The Grampians National Park

Trade winelands for mountains today as you drive to the Grampians National Park. Check into your accommodation and explore your surrounds.

Day 8 : The Grampians National Park

Hike on one of the many walking trails of the Grampians National Park today and keep an eye out for local wildlife.

Day 9 : Port Fairy

Travel south to the pretty town of Port Fairy, a drive of approximately two hours. Spend the afternoon exploring the town centre and its historic buildings.

Day 10 : Apollo Bay

The journey between Port Fairy and Apollo Bay has some of the country's most impressive coastal scenery and your drive today will take you past the famous 12 Apostles and other iconic sights of the Great Ocean Road. Whilst the distance of this drive is less than 200 kilometres and you could do in a morning, we suggest taking your time and making a day of it.

Day 11 : Apollo Bay

Spend today at leisure. Apollo Bay is a great base for exploring some of the nearby attractions such as the nearby Great Otway National Park with its beautiful waterfalls and walking opportunities. Alternatively, you may choose to relax and simply enjoy the town's good choice of cafes and restaurants and spend time by the beach.

Day 12 : Melbourne

Continue your journey along the Great Ocean Road today on your way to Melbourne. Pass through the pretty town of Lorne and onwards to the surf mecca of Torquay before heading inland towards Melbourne. This coastal journey is approximately three and a half hours, but again can easily be extended with some lovely stops en route. Drop your hire car in Melbourne late this afternoon.

Day 13 : Melbourne

Get to know Melbourne's hidden laneways on a walking tour this morning, enjoying lunch on tour, before spending the afternoon at leisure. Perhaps go for a walk along the river or hop on a tram and head down to the vibrant seaside suburb of St Kilda.

Day 14 : Sydney

Make your way to the airport this morning in time for your flight to Sydney, a flight of approximately an hour and a half. You will make your way to your hotel in the historic Rocks district. Spend your afternoon exploring your surrounds.

Day 15 : Sydney

Rise early for a fun surfing lesson on the iconic Bondi Beach before enjoying the sights of this cosmopolitan part of the city. Spend the rest of your day at leisure and perhaps go for a walk along the stunning Bondi to Bronte coastal path.

Day 16 : Blue Mountains

Make your own way to the car hire depot, where you'll collect your car. All insurances are included in your package and once again a sat-nav is available on request. From the city centre of Sydney drive west to the rugged landscapes of the Blue Mountains, a drive of approximately one and a half hours, and check into your accommodation for two nights.

Day 17 : Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains have a fantastic network of walking trails and you will join a half day tour today with a small group and a local guide to get to know the trails and the region intimately.

Day 18 : Sydney

After a morning of relaxation retrace your steps and drive back to Sydney. After dropping off your rental car make your way to your hotel for a final night. Enjoy a performance at the Sydney Opera House this evening to end your trip in style.

Day 19 : International return flight

Enjoy a last morning at leisure in Sydney before making your way to the airport in time for your onward flight.

Day 20 : International return flight

Arrive home today to complete your journey.
