Wieliczka Salt Mine Legend has it that the salt mines in Wieliczka were part of a dowry from Kinga, the Hungarian princess, when she wed Boleslaw the Shy over 700 years ago, making the Wieliczka Salt Mine one of the oldest in Europe. The mine's historical importance, as well as the amazing works of art carved into the walls by miners, have earned the Wieliczka Salt Mine a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. The tour will be conducted with a group on a route that takes you through three levels of underground galleries and chambers. Pick-up and drop-off at hotel. Times to be arranged locally. Approximate tour duration is 3 hours. There are a total of 800 steps to descend to the underground mine, with convenience stops along the way. After a short break, all visitors will return to the surface in a mining elevator. This tour is not recommended for travelers that have difficulty walking on uneven and/or steep terrain. OnDay : 10 Price : $79 Polish Folklore Dinner & Show Tonight, join an exciting evening of traditional Polish culture, music and dance.
