England Tour Selection Trips

  • There are numerous accents in England and they vary tremendously by region, and sometimes town. Some are easier to understand than others, but people are generally friendly and don't mind repeating themselves if you ask nicely.
  • The English Countryside is famous for its beauty, and it’s well worth reserving a day to spend driving through.
  • London is one of the best walking cities around - so pack comfortable shoes!
  • English food gets a bad rap, but if you hunt around there are some gems to be found. From delicious pub fare like the classic fish and chips to more exotic Indian and Pakistani food.
  • Be prepared for damp and rainy weather! The sun doesn’t always like to come out in England, or the wider United Kingdom for that matter, so be sure to pack accordingly.

Best time to travel to England

  • June-September, Summer, for the best weather
  • March-May, Spring, & September-October, Fall, for fewer crowds and moderate weather
  • November-March, Winter, for the fewest crowds

Summer is the peak season in England as most of the tourists plan their England tours from June to September. The days are long, and the weather is warm compared to the rest of the year. However, due to being a high tourist time, you will find every place crowded with people. You will also experience high rates for everything, whether it is accommodation or travel costs.

You can avoid the crowds a little by not going for public transport and renting a car instead. One special thing about summer is the various music and theatre festival going on throughout the season. Get into one of these if you find a chance, and have the real essence of the English culture.

The second most favorite time to travel to London is during spring and autumn. The weather becomes moderate during these times, i.e., March to May and September and October. Hit the weather sweet spot of the region while discovering the fascinating beauty of the royal parks and blossoming gardens.

Experience the beauty of spring flowers while enjoying the warm and usually dry days. And if you are visiting during fall, you will have the privilege to have the beautiful sight of the autumn leaves with their changing hues, making the surroundings more calm and soothing. The earlier you go in spring, the smaller crowds you will experience. But to have low crowds in autumn, you need to go by the latter half of October.

The cheapest time for England tours is between November to March, except for the Christmas holidays. You can find a fair discounted deal for air travel and accommodation, especially. Though various attractions like mountain areas, especially in the north, are closed during the winter due to snow and cold, the main cities are open completely.

This might be the coldest time of the year but has the minimum crowds, and you can enjoy some of the best opera, theater, ballet, and classical music offers and have a closer view of the English life. Arrive after the Christmas holidays and get the chance to avail post-Christmas sales offering fashion clothing, handicrafts, woolens, crystal, silver, and much more at the lowest prices. If you don't mind getting wrapped up in various layers of clothes, then winter can be a good time for budget travelers.

If you are planning to travel to England, you should always be prepared for the rain. Many people see it as a drawback and afraid that it can ruin their trip. But all you need is an umbrella or a raincoat to avoid your trip getting ruined.

English Weather

England has a relatively temperate climate and doesn't really have temperature extremes in winter or summer. However, it has a reputation for having grey misty days and drizzly weather round the year. So be ready for unexpected rain with an umbrella or raincoat during your England travel.

The notoriously unpredictable weather in the country is full of surprises for you. You might get a sharp, sunny, crispy day in cold winter, or can have a chilly rainy afternoon in mid-June. The temperature rarely goes below 2°C, even when winter is at its full bloom, or rise above 26°C during summer.

Do I Need a Visa for England?

England has a different visa policy for different countries. For most of the countries' citizens, it is compulsory to get a before landing on the England soil, even for tourism purposes. However, if you are US, Canadian, Australian, Swiss, EU, or EEA citizen, you do not require a visa and only need to show a valid passport to enter England for a stay of 6 months or less.

For the rest of the countries, it is required to apply for a visa before flying to England. You can check your visa requirement fromhttps://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa, where you put in your information, and you know whether or not you need a visa from your country.
