- Always negotiate prices when hiring a taxi or buying merchandise at markets
- Sample Georgia’s well-known bread dishes, especially khachapuri (cheese pie)
- Tbilisi’s subway offers more than efficient transportation – its unique architecture and design make it an attraction in itself
- Wear comfortable shoes as many streets and sidewalks have cobblestone or are unpaved
- After a day of sight-seeing, relax at one of Tbilisi’s famed bathhouses which are known for their Sulphur baths
- Outside populated areas, travel times may increase due to unpaved roads or the presence of animals
- Sample the fresh fruits and vegetables that Georgia is known for
- Marshrutkas (shared mini buses) offer efficient and affordable transportation
- Booking tours is a great way to experience many rural sights that are not easily accessible
