- Britain is an ideal place to take a walking tour or cycling tour, since much of it is relatively flat and distances between towns is often short -- though challenging terrain is available as well.
- Coast-to-coast walking tours are one intriguing option in northern England.
- While relatively small in size, the United Kingdom is rich in attractions, so be wary of tours that try to cover the entire country in one week.
- Consider touring England and Wales on one trip, Scotland on another, and combining Northern Ireland with the Republic of Ireland on a third.
- You could easily spend a week touring London and its nearby surroundings alone, so don’t overlook that option.
