With four different accommodation styles to choose from and only 17 rooms, guests will feel like they are in their own private oasis. Rooms are light and modern, drawing inspiration from the ocean and lively touches of the Caribbean. All rooms have luxurious private verandas with views out to the ocean. Superior rooms are located in the gardens and are close to the main house and the swimming pool. Deluxe suites have extensive views over Endeavour Bay with separate living areas and larger private outdoor terraces with their own plunge pools.
The cosy colonial style cottages are tucked away in the tropical gardens and feature king or twin beds, dressing room, en suite bathroom and a lovely open veranda with lounge and dining chairs. The two storey duplex suites have two bedrooms and are at the heart of the hotel. Ideal for families, these suites have a master bedroom with king-size bed, en suite bathroom and large balcony, then a second bedroom, sitting room and private plunge pool on the ground level. The views from the balconies are over the hotel gardens, with a glimpse of the ocean.
For the ultimate private luxury, the hotels Residence offers a two bedroom suite with large outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor shower, expansive terrace, pagoda and views over L’Ansecoy Bay.
All accommodations are complete with air conditioning, ceiling fans, TVs, Wi-Fi, Nespresso machines, Mini Bar, safe, Bamford toiletries, bathrobes and slippers.
Choose to dine in the main house or on the beach at the Veranda restaurant and the Beach Café. Dinner at the Veranda is intimate and cosy, serving contemporary twists on classic Caribbean cuisine. There are smaller sharing plates or larger main sized dishes, incorporating traditional cooking methods of smoking or open-flame grilling.
The Beach Café is a more relaxed affair, with leisurely lunches being served under the sway of palms alongside white sands. Dishes are a fusion of Caribbean and Mediterranean with fish and lobster burger being served alongside Dukkah spiced lamb koftas. There is also a range of fresh vegetarian and vegan dishes to enjoy. Interactive dining experiences happen at the Beach Café with a Saturday night beach bonfire cook-off and their popular ice cream parlour.
Basils bar is a treasure on the island of Mustique, once serving drinks to passing sailors, the bar now serves delicious cocktails, light lunches and freshly grilled seafood. Sunset Sunday offers dinner with live local music as an atmospheric way to finish the week.
This tropical island paradise has so much to offer, with warm tropical waters on the southwest ideal for snorkeling and swimming and the more rugged beaches on the northeast providing the swell needed for ideal surfing and bodyboarding. The clear, shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea are an excellent place to get PADI certified.
The water sports facility in Endeavour Bay has a wide range of water sports equipment for guests to hire, such as Hobie Cats, boogie boards, windsurfs, stand up paddle boards and kayaks. There is also tennis, golf at Jim Fazio course on the island of Canouan and plenty of hiking trails on the island.
The hotel runs charter sailing tours to Tobago Cays and the islands of Bequia, Canouan, Palm Union and Petit St. Vincent. Take a sailing lesson in a catamaran or schooner or take ta boat out with the islands fishermen to find deep sea tuna, barracuda, marlin and sailfin.
Location
The tiny island of Mustique, meaning mosquito for the supposed shape of the island, is situated southeast of the island of St Vincent and is the second island in the chain of the Grenadines. Mustique is accessible by a small domestic flight from the airports at St Lucia or Barbados and guests will be greeted on arrival and transferred to the hotel, just a 4 minute drive away.
FamiliesFamilies are more than welcome on the island and the two bedroom deluxe suites are ideal accommodation. The island is a peaceful haven, ideal for little explorers to safely see the world. The hotel offers nanny and child minding services as well as a dedicated children’s activity team with beach picnics, arts and crafts and sports on offer.
Environmental and social responsibilityThe hotel is affiliated with the Mustique Charitable Trust to help with local community, wildlife conservation initiatives and the island’s environmental programme. Guests are invited to view nesting and hatching turtles from a safe distance and are encouraged not to buy lobsters from local fishermen during spawning season to help with the conservation of species. The fishing activities are also sustainably minded with heavy quotas and many parts of the reef that cannot be fished.
