In search of the jaguar in Brazil's Pantanal
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Rio de Janeiro.
Arrive in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro today. You will be met at the airport and driven to your hotel in private vehicle.
This morning you will head out on an exciting private tour of Rio's most iconic sights, including Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Today take an indirect flight to Cuiaba, gateway to the Northern Pantanal. Upon arrival you will be met by a representative for the drive to your jaguar tracking lodge with the other guests.
Set out on motorized boat trips along the Cuiabá River in search of jaguars. Your guides are in constant contact with each other as they try to locate a great sighting of a jaguar.
Continue navigating the Cuiabá, São Lourenço, Three Brothers and Piquiri rivers in search of jaguars. There is a high chance of spotting these from the river.
Transfer along the famous Transpantaneira highway to your lodge offering a more general wildlife experience.
Full day of wildlife activities in the Pantanal, exploring the wetlands by boat and on foot in search of a wonderful array of flora and fauna.
Further activities in the Pantanal; there are horse riding excursions, boat trips in search of monkeys, iguanas and caiman, and if you're lucky you may catch a spectacular Pantanal sunset.
Transfer back to Cuiaba in time for your onward flights.
