Itinerary
Ready to begin your adventure in Montana? Once you arrive in Bozeman, collect your rental car, settle into your designated hotel, and get acquainted with your surroundings. If time permits, consider starting off with a short history lesson over at Bozeman's Museum of the Rockies. Otherwise, explore Downtown Bozeman for the remainder of the day.
Wake up early to start your first official full day in Montana with some time outdoors. A great place to begin would be an Alpaca and Llama Farm Tour. You'll get to witness some of Montana's most beloved wildlife up close and personal, feed them, and even bathe...
Take the drive over to West Yellowstone today. Once you get settled into your hotel room, head out into the open to do some more exploring on your own. Use the rest of the day to kick back at the hotel, as you're going to need your energy for the days to come!
Today's the day you've been waiting for – one that's full of excitement at Yellowstone National Park. If you enjoy hiking, kayaking, or fishing, you're bound to have an amazing time at this world-famous park. Be sure to pack a good supply of snacks and water to keep you energized, as well as wearing the right equipment.
Head back to Yellowstone National Park to go on a self-guided scavenger hunt of the park's most iconic attractions. These include Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, Thumb Geyser, Grand Prismatic Spring, and a few others. Make this little adventure even more exciting by bringing a disposable film camera, a journal, and a pen to document your steps.
Time to depart from West Yellowstone! Enjoy a hearty breakfast before you take the drive over to Bozeman. Along the way, keep your eye out for even more beautiful scenery that you might have missed on the way over.
When you arrive, feel free to do some exploring around the area. In the evening, reward yourself with some more relaxation by visiting the Bozeman Hot Springs.
Take advantage of your last full day in Bozeman by completing any activities you have yet to get to. Whether it's heading back out into nature to explore mountains, rivers, or waterfalls, or scavenging Downtown Bozeman for some souvenirs, you have plenty of options to choose from. Just be sure to pack all of your belongings in place so that tomorrow's departure is smooth and quick.
Say your goodbyes to Montana and the beautiful Yellowstone National Park. Today, you're heading back home. Drop off your rental car at the designated area, then complete the process to have a safe and easy flight home.
