- Vancouver is deceivingly large. If you have a lot of time, don't spend it just in Gastown for example. Be sure to visit Vancouver Island, and the rest of the city where art and history museums are plentiful, as well as a vibrant nightlife and culinary scene.
- Many tours pass through Vancouver on their way to the National Parks. Use this time to rest up before a lot of outdoor time! Perhaps use it to purchase some souvenirs or any outdoor clothing you forgot to pack.
