The mine's historical importance, as well as the amazing works of art carved into the walls by miners, have earned the Wieliczka Salt Mine a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list. The tour will be conducted with a group on a route that takes you through three levels of underground galleries and chambers. Pick-up and drop-off at hotel. Times to be arranged locally. Approximate tour duration is 3 hours. There are a total of 800 steps to descend to the underground mine, with convenience stops along the way. After a short break, all visitors will return to the surface in a mining elevator. This tour is not recommended for travelers that have difficulty walking on uneven and/or steep terrain.
