Say "hej" to Sweden! Upon arrival in Sweden's capital, make your way to your hotel to check in and then begin exploring.
A great start would be in the city's old town, Gamla Stan, an islet that's one of the largest and best preserved medieval city centers in Europe. The narrow winding cobblestone streets and gold-hued buildings give Gamla Stan its unique character.
Embark on a tour of Stockholm's Royal Canals! Explore the waterways that leave the city and bob by beautiful buildings until you reach the Djurgarden Canal, famous for its view over the whole city.
The rest of the day is yours. You might walk the halls of Stockholm Palace or stroll through Skansen, an open-air museum and zoo, lined with fresh farm stands as well.
Spend the day surrounded by vast expanses of forests and verdant meadows on the central, two-mile-long island of Djurgarden. Once you've breathed in the fresh clean air, head back into the city and pick up a few souvenirs.
