- The Colosseum is usually packed with people. Unless you travel in the extreme off season, or arrive very early. Don't let this deter you from seeing this incredible sight! Just accept that tourists will be everywhere.
- Book a guided tour where you will be getting some historical context to this amazing sight - it not only helps appreciate the feat it was to build, but helps you imagine what life was like in Ancient Roman times.
- Don't venture off the designated path! The Colosseum is an ancient ruin, and many parts are crumbling, or under excavation. Be careful where you step and follow your guide.
