- Milford Sound is best experienced with a full day. Plan enough time to enjoy the majestic natural landscape, which Rudyard Kipling once called the "eigth Wonder of the World".
- The town of Milford Sound is very small, and accommodation books up quickly. It can be much easier to incorporate Milford Sound as a day trip from Queenstown.
- The boat trip is generally very smooth - most will not get seasick. But if you're particularly sensitive to being on the water, plan any precautions you deem necessary. Snacking on crysalized ginger is a good trick.
