"We've taken over 10 group tours using Cosmos and Gate1. This trip last month, 9000 was not very good. -During booking, incorrect information was given about airport-hotel transfers -The whispers (listening devices) didn't work from the get-go, so no whispers were used during the 13 day trip. - Porters are no longer hired to bring your luggage to and from your room. (Very elderly had to handle their own luggage. Our friends had to help many of them.) -A few days into the trip one couple left. At the end of the trip we found out they had covid. Cosmos did not let us know; a few people weren't feeling well and two of our friends then tested positive. -One hotel was awful and not even up to "budget" standards -Many of the stops had castles, churches... but were not included, so be sure to count that in when pricing.  don't plan to use Cosmos ever again. Gate1 is the best in my opinion. When my husband's passport was stolen, they assigned someone to go with him to the embassy, translate, etc...It was above and beyond what we expected  "

"I am writing this review on behalf of my mother- and father-in-law, who are currently on their first day of the Costa Rica Escape with Tortuguero tour. Unfortunately, their experience has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing from the very start. Despite arriving at the airport on time and being transferred to the day 1 hotel, they have been left completely in the dark about the next steps (day 2). According to the itinerary on day 1, a Globus representative was supposed to provide details about their upcoming Tortuguero National Park adventure, set to begin day 2. However, no one from Globus ever met with them or provided the promised information. They are sitting in Costa Rica right now and have no clue where to go. The hotel staff was clueless and had no details about where or when they were supposed to meet the next day. They had no information on any local contact information. When they reached out to the travel agent listed on the Globus booking, she was also unhelpful and unsure of what to do. Globus' office, which claims to provide “24/7 assistance,” was closed (it seems the "7" in 24/7 doesn’t apply on Sundays), and their so-called "emergency" team was just as unhelpful and unable to provide any assistance. They basically told us they are “Care Free Assistance” and a separate company from Globus. This lack of communication and complete failure to provide support for paying customers is absolutely unacceptable. My in-laws were so excited for this trip, but instead, their vacation has started with stress and confusion. We will NEVER BOOK WITH GLOBUS or any of its brands again, and I strongly recommend others think twice before doing so. For the cost of these tours, this level of service is inexcusable."
