Itinerary
Day 1: Hveragerði
Accommodation: Frost & Fire Boutique Hotel
Upon arrival into Keflavík, pick up your hire car and drive to your hotel on the Golden Circle. On the way, explore the barren yet eerily beautiful volcanic wastelands of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Once you've checked into your hotel, hike into the Reykjadalur Valley to a hot spring river, where you can spend some time bathing and relaxing.
Day 2: Hveragerði
Accommodation: Frost & Fire Boutique Hotel
Explore the highlights of the Golden Circle today, including the iconic Geysir, the striking Þingvellir National Park and the enormous Gullfoss. You'll also take part in a private tour including lunch at Friðheimar tomato farm, and spend time bathing in the Secret Lagoon.
Day 3: Langjökull
Accommodation: Hotel Húsafell
Today you'll drive to west Iceland, where you'll be based for the next couple of days. Join a shared tour which takes you exploring inside a tunnel in the vast Langjökull Glacier.
Day 4: Stykkishólmur
Accommodation: Hótel Egilsen
Spend the day exploring the fjords, villages, hot springs and farms of west Iceland. Later in the day, continue onto the north of Snæfellsnes Peninsula, where you'll join a 'Viking Sushi' tour. This takes you out on a fishing trawler to explore the myriad islands north of the peninsula, which teem with bird life and are surrounded by spectacular mountain views. On your way back to the mainland, you'll enjoy a freshly prepared sushi meal, trawled from the ocean floor and prepared on deck by the crew.
Day 5: Reykjavík
Accommodation Options: Storm Hotel, Hotel Borg, Reykjavik, Icelandair Hotel Reykjavík Marina & Reykjavík Residence Hotel
Explore the beauty and variety of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula today, whose volcano, glacier, black volcanic beaches, hot springs, and sandy beaches have been called 'Iceland in miniature'. End the day in Reykjavík, where you'll return your hire car.
Day 6: Reykjavík
Accommodation Options: Storm Hotel, Hotel Borg, Icelandair Hotel Marina, Reykjavik & Reykjavík Residence Hotel
Embark on a privately guided food tour of Reykjavík, sampling some of the most common Icelandic dishes as you wander through the streets of capital on foot. The rest of the day is at your leisure to continue exploring Reykjavík's museums, shops, restaurants, and attractions.
Day 7: Return home
Your private driver will take you to the airport today, in time for your onward flight.

Are they the cheapest in the world? No but the service they provide is exceptional and in my view worth every single penny.
The planning process was well thought out and executed, we even had a zoom call with a country expert to ask questions and listen to advice before our trip.
The paperwork they provide for you to take with you is well packaged and easy to read etc. The back up service is there and we even had an email after we had landed home saying they had checked our flights had landed on time and they hope everything had gone to plan.

Authentic and seamless first trip with Audley
Every hour and excursion is well thought out and stitched together seamlessly by Holly at Audley. Our itinerary sent us on a wonderful, magical tour of Peru where we met by top notch drivers and guides taking us to the most magical places.
Laura our guide in Arequippa was second to none, giving us great insight and knowledge into Peruvian culture, history and landscapes. Laura took us off on walks, to villages and social interactions which we would never get with a usual tour operator. Away from the tourist traps, we experienced Peru in a completely authentic way. It was an education. Fully immersed in our travels, learning out the culture along the way, all we had to do was turn up. Our teenager was engaged every moment by our guides and their insight.
All the hotels were beautiful, well located and very clean. We stayed in Cusco, explored the area and trekked to Macchu Pichu with Alpaca Expeditions (arranged by Audley) – a great trekking company and well worth the experience. Everything went like clockwork; all we had to do was turn up and enjoy. We thoroughly recommend Audley to plan your trip. Well worth the money for their expertise and attention to detail in a very authentic, personal way with fantastic guides and drivers.
