Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight flight

Board your overnight flight, bound for Europe.

Day 2: Arrive in London

Welcome to London! It’s huge, it’s cosmopolitan, and it’s brimming with famous sights, fun pubs, great music venues and endless things to do. Arrive at your accommodations to meet up with your Tour Director and fellow travelers.

Introduction to London

Your Tour Director will take you on a quick walk to get to know the area.

Welcome Mixer

Get to know your fellow travelers at an authentic local spot over some drinks and light appetizers.

Day 3: Sightseeing tour of London (local guide)

Hit the highlights of London with a local guide giving you all the inside info. Most of the tour will be on a bus ride around the city—you’ll see the famous sights like Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. You’ll also get a chance to walk around and explore on foot.

Celebrate New Year's Eve in London on the 12/29 departure.

Day 4: Free day in London

Top 5 free time suggestions:

Covent Garden – Seek out bargains at this bustling covered market; souvenirs, clothes, crafts and much more.

Tower of London – Trace England’s bloody history and see the legendary Crown Jewels.

Abbey Road – Probably the world's most famous crosswalk, this storied spot is a must-see for even the most casual Beatles fan.

Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum – Be amazed by frighteningly real wax dummies of your favorite celebrities and historical figures.

Tate Modern – Visit one of the world's top modern art museums to see Picassos, Warhols, Dalís and more.

Excursion: Beyond London: Explore Oxford Extra Cost

See the countryside roll by as you escape to Oxford, the picturesque city that doubled as Hogwarts and influenced the likes of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, Albert Einstein and many more throughout the centuries. After a guided tour, enjoy free time to explore museums, grab lunch at the Covered Market, go punting on the River Thames (summer only) or simply wander through a place as magical as the stories it inspires.

Day 5: Train to Paris

Head to Paris! The French capital is visited by more than 30 million people a year, drawn by the famous monuments, great food, and some of the world’s best art museums. Paris is comprised of 20 districts, or arrondissements, so there’s plenty of diversity and personality to discover.

Bonjour! Welcome to Paris.

Upon arrival, head to your accommodation and drop your bags. Your Tour Director will take you on a quick walk to orient you with the area and point out some incredible landmarks.

Evening Seine Cruise and Eiffel Tower

Float past Notre Dame Cathedral and under some of Paris’s famous bridges, then visit the most iconic tower in the world as its dazzling lights sparkle with the setting sun.

Day 6: Sightseeing tour of Paris (local guide)

Enjoy a combination bus/walking tour of Paris’ top highlights. Your expert local guide will tell you all about the city as you see its most well-known sights.

Your guide will also take you off the beaten path to some of Paris’ more authentic arrondissements, and give you the inside scoop on Parisian culture. Get to know the fashionistas, eccentric royals, epic revolutionaries, bougie bourgeoisie, and enlightened intellectuals that shaped the City of Light.

Free Time Suggestions

Edit Sober: Visit the cafe haunts of literary giants like Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce and many others.

Fall in Louvre: Paris is home to some of the world’s most incredible art collections. Head to The Louvre and Musee d’Orsay. The Louvre displays art from before the 18th century, and houses the Mona Lisa herself. The Orsay is your place for modern art.

Latin Quarter: Around the Sorbonne, the bars and clubs here are open late and frequented by locals and travellers alike.

Excursion: Versailles  Extra Cost

Spend the afternoon at the over-the-top palace of Louis XIV. Not far from Paris, this is where French royalty reveled in their extravagant lifestyle in the decades before the Revolution. At one point, a thousand nobles were attended by 4,000 servants inside the palace, while 15,000 soldiers and servants lived in the annexes. Walk through the landscaped gardens, tour the State Apartments of the King and the Queen, and see the Hall of Mirrors.

Day 7: Free Day in Paris

Today is yours to explore! Paris is immense, yet intimate. While it can be overwhelming at first, there’s a bounty of hidden gems around every corner.

Free Time Suggestions

Go Subterranean: The Paris catacombs are dark, underground crypts where the city’s dead have been buried for centuries.

Bon Appétit: French food is some of the finest in the world. Demanding customers, meticulous preparation and the freshest ingredients combine for an unparalleled culinary experience. Parisians eat dinner late between 8 and 10pm, so plan accordingly.

C’est Magnifique!: Head to Montmartre, a neighborhood filled with street art, incredible views overlooking the city and the famous Sacré Cœur Cathedral. This is the perfect place to take a stroll, grab lunch and admire a more authentic side of Paris.

Farewell dinner

Share some last laughs (and maybe shed a few tears) at an included farewell dinner with the group.

Day 8: Fly Home

It's time to say your goodbyes. Head to the airport for your flight back home.

I had to cancel my one week trip because of an unexpected stay in the hospital that made me unable to travel. After straightening everything out with my credit card company over a month ago and receiving my funds back, a man named Ryan decides to text message me (not through email-unprofessionalism at its best) and decides to give me an ultimatum. Which was to either pay him directly or he would press forward on filing a claim against my disputes and getting the funds back. Completely unprofessional, utterly rude, and this is a situation he should be contacting my credit card company about, not me, a valuable customer that has used EF College Break more than once. I will let me fellow colleagues and friends aware of the disastrous customer service they have going on here, and will never be traveling through this agency again.

booked a trip in 2019 for a 2020 trip. EF cancelled it during Covid and didn't offer any travel during my desired time. I scheduled my own trip and went to Europe. I then rebooked a Australian trip (because I could not receive a refund) for 2023. Around Aug. 2022 I realized the trip would cost nearly 12k grand, I again requested a refund on my initial $4k down payment. I was told they would keep $600 to cover incurred cost for a trip that was over 250 days out. They handled this very poorly and I was spoken to very poorly. I would not recommend this travel agency. They are simply trying to take advantage of consumers at every opportunity.

I'm posting on here because EF doesn't post reviews 3 stars or less on their website (which is automatically a huge red flag). I just recently came back from a trip with EF, and it was so beyond disappointing. The only really great thing about this trip was the people. I loved my group and I loved my tour director.

But be warned, EF will give you terrible and cheap meals, accommodations, and flights. Starting with the meals, EF plans trips in some amazing cities, and the food is probably the most exciting part of these cities and a huge part of what makes it fantastic. Eating good quality food with good people is what makes any trip or event memorable. But the places EF led us to to eat, was so awful. It was so upsetting, and a waste of money. For flights, from where I live there are plenty of nonstop flights going to where I was going to for this trip. EF gave me long, grueling, inconvenient layovers in some random cities - and this was obviously to cut corners on the flights to keep more of my money. All of the hotels were dirty, outdated, and cheap.

If I'm paying so much money for a trip, EF must be pocketing a lot of it. Because it definitely did not go towards a good trip.

You can do as you will, but if I could go back in time and tell myself to not do the trip with EF...I would do it in a heartbeat. Don't say I didn't warn you.Just don't let them rob you.

I just came off of this trip and it was not worth it. The first hostel we were put in had 8 girls stuffed into ONE room with ONE bathroom. There was no air conditioning, and we were in the middle of a heatwave. If we had been given a warning that there's a chance we could be with 8 girls, we could have at least prepared mentally. Instead, we were blatantly lied to as the description and the EF app told us the maximum amount of people to a room is 4-6. The second hostel had 4 girls to a room, with a 3 inch gap under the bathroom door. This meant you could even hear the person breathing inside, not just their personal business. This hostel at least had AC. The third hostel was fine and we got individual rooms and AC. Besides that, our group was the smallest EF group ever with 12 people. Our tour director "revealed" to us at the end of the trip that this was his first tour but that was pretty obvious throughout the whole trip. I think EF allowed such a small group as guinea pigs for his first tour. As nice and lovely as as a person he was, he had little knowledge about any area we were in, got us on metros going wrong directions, and showed little interest in us. Our bus broke down while heading to an excursion and cut into our 2 hours + we got no tour guide, which was also paid for us by us. Our tour guide in Madrid was fighting random people on the street, yelling at people in museums. She took us to a museum and chose 3 paintings that she amateurly interpreted and then forced us all out of there presumably so she could get her tip outside. We did not get breakfast one day while travelling even though it's on the itinerary and supposed to be provided. There were other issues, but the biggest thing is they hide bad reviews on their website.
